This position will be assigned to an NS&E office and be designated as part-time telework.
Job Responsibilities:
Leads project and proposal schedule development and maintenance efforts.
Obtains required planning and scheduling information from all disciplines and functions.
Coordinates with all departments to ensure understanding of schedule needs.
Responsible for leading the integration of project schedule activities.
Identifies restraints and their effect on the project schedule.
Identifies schedule considerations and challenges resulting from inter-discipline or functional restraints and interfaces.
Monitors, reviews, and reports critical path and schedule performance.
Leads schedule analysis and studies of problem areas to determine the criticality of scheduled activities.
Recommends alternatives for schedule improvement to the project team for discussion and/or decision.
Responsible for leading the development and review of schedule recovery plans, including the evaluation of additional resources/costs required to affect such plans.
Basic Qualifications:
Level 1 - Bachelor’s (BS/BA) degree from an accredited university and at least nine (9) years of professional experience, or in lieu of a degree, high school diploma or equivalent and at least fifteen (15) years of professional experience.
Level 2 - Bachelor’s (BS/BA) degree from an accredited university and at least thirteen (13) years of professional experience, or in lieu of a degree, high school diploma or equivalent and at least nineteen (19) years of professional experience.
Must be a US Citizen per project contract requirements.
Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check which includes verification of employment and education.
All employees are subject and agree to random drug and alcohol testing as a condition of employment and successfully go through a government screening process. Unescorted access approval is required.
Candidate must successfully clear government background check.
Minimum Requirements:
Extensive experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing scheduling functions which include planning, critical path analysis, and schedule performance measurement.
Must demonstrate good interpersonal teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
Expert proficiency with Primavera P6 scheduling software.
Advanced level of proficiency in using Project Controls software applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Demonstrated ability to work with people of varied backgrounds and objectives.
Preferred requirements:
Construction experience on large, complex Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) jobs.
Previous U.S. Government-certified Earned Value Management System experience on complex Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) jobs.
Demonstrated skill in identifying and analyzing issues and recommending corrective actions.
Flexibility to respond to urgent proposal and project requests and changing priorities.
