Vodafone UK employs 10,000 people – our powerhouse behind driving customer excellence for over 18 million mobile and fixed line customers, as well as a diverse array of small, large and public sector businesses. In this role you will lead organisational design and business transformation activities, partnering closely with our Functional Heads of HR to drive simplicity, accountability and effectiveness across Vodafone UK and Group entities where applicable. You will also work closely with Group Organisation Effectiveness specialists to help design and influence global operating model design principles, as well as global methodologies, processes and toolkits.
What will you be doing?
Accountable for designing and recommending macro operating model designs for strategic initiatives across Vodafone UK, driving end to end project delivery, overall alignment to UK & Group blueprints and effective change management – whilst ensuring effective employee & customer experiences
Steer and challenge business leaders and senior HR decision makers to articulate business dilemmas, cases for change and the appropriate approach and support processes to tackle these, demonstrating a specialist level of OD expertise
Assure the delivery of operating model and organisational designs that span multiple functions across Vodafone UK, as well as those impacting Group Functions and Verticals; support HRBPs as the expert on OD for singular function operating model redesign.
Accountable for holding a well-informed central view of all UK OD initiatives and coordinating governance and reporting to the HRLT and UK Executive Team to drive visibility and decision making of OD projects
Partner closely with local and Group experts in OE and People Analytics to unlock rich insight from our vast body of data and enrich our organisational effectiveness decision making Own & champion OD and change management methodologies / best practices for the UK, working in close collaboration with Group OE.
Apply deep specialist knowledge to provide OD and change expertise to coach senior and middle-management business and HR colleagues as needed
Who are we looking for?
Significant experience in organisational design and business transformation/change
Impact and influence – ability to influence executive level directors working as a collaborative partner across the organisation in the UK, Group and global markets
Strong storytelling and communication skills to articulate the case for change, drawing on data where appropriate and applying logic to analyse options to solve business dilemmas
Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking applied to demonstrate credibility in expertise
Strong project management skills
Coaching – ability to coach and work collaboratively with business and HR colleagues
Expert facilitation skills with experience leading workshops and engaging diverse stakeholders – across functions and levels of seniority.
Significant organisational design experience deployed in large complex organisations, working with business and HR leaders
Management consultancy experience preferred but not required
