Capita Technology and Software Solutions (TSS) is looking for a Senior Oracle Developer. The Senior Oracle Developer will be Home Based. The Senior Oracle Developer will develop, implement, and maintain database schemas and objects to ensure optimal performance.

What you’ll be doing:

• overseeing new database development and ensuring consistency and integration with existing database structures

• monitoring and resolving database performance, database capacity, data integrity and replication issues while ensuring the integrity of complex business databases

• developing logical and physical database models

• coding, testing, debugging and documenting database management systems

• participating in and proposing improvements to standards in system development methodology, tools, and processes for database design, programming, backup and recovery

• working on release co-ordination activities such as checklists, reviews, assurance

• working within both a development and support environment

• providing the technical handover to Service Management on Releases

• providing support to Service Management on any database live issues

• verifying data correction scripts before implementation into live

• providing regular weekend cover and Release Go Live support

• working with external parties and ensuring communication
