We are looking for a Senior Occupational Health Adviser to join the Occupational Health and Staff Wellbeing (OHSWB) Service. The OHSWB is committed to protecting the health and wellbeing of all UKHSA employees, providing a comprehensive service to staff utilising a combination of internal and external expert services. The service is SEQOHS accredited.
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team the post holder will contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of an efficient, effective and high quality OH service, providing specialist knowledge and expertise that is responsive to the current and evolving unique needs of the UKHSA.
They will ensure service delivery is in line with best practice, compliant with departmental policies & procedures and meets all legislative requirements.
The role will require some travel to other UKHSA sites to ensure consistency of service delivery.

It will achieve this through the application of research, knowledge and skills. It is a distinct delivery organisation with operational autonomy to advise and support Government, local authorities and the NHS in a professionally independent manner.
· Deliver a proactive occupational health service that protects and promotes the physical and psychological wellbeing of all UKHSA employees.
· Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for designated area of the organisation, building strong working relationships through understanding the health risk profile and ensuring timely OH input to new or changing projects and work streams; attending key meetings; and responding in a timely manner to incoming queries.
· Lead on projects to drive service delivery improvements e.g. Safe Effective Quality Occupational Health Services (SEQOHS).
· Manage a clinical case load and lead on complex case management, providing professional advice to line managers, employees, HR and others.

Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. The level of security needed is Basic Personnel Security Standard.
