We are looking for an experienced negotiator who recognises the importance of using data to prepare in order to create value and build long term relationships with our vendors and seller for our customers. As a senior negotiation specialist, you will deliver our in house negotiation programs, provide input and support on company negotiation strategy and develop new tools and content to help Amazon employees across the EU develop their selling, persuasion and negotiation capabilities.
You will be part of a growing team, based in London. You may be based at the Amazon EU office in any one of these EU countries: France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Spain and the United Kingdom.
When restrictions lift, this role will involve frequent travel to each of the 6 European countries mentioned above. Occasional travel to other countries in which we operate may also be required.
Experience, background and skills required for success in this role:
· Proven negotiation and influencing abilities
· Demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects
· Ability to work with and influence employees at all levels of the organization
· Strong analytical orientation; comfortable using databases and analytical tools and making data-based decisions
· Strong customer orientation and commercial acumen
· Knowledge of retail business concepts, strategies, and practices
· Fluent written and oral communication skills in English
· Bi-lingual proficiency in German, French, Italian or Spanish would be an advantage
· Comfortable facilitating and managing demanding groups of dynamic ambitoius people
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor's degree or compensating professional experience
· Relevant commercial negotiation background
· Relevant experience developing and delivering training content
· Experience communicating and presenting to senior leadership
MBA preferred, but not required
