We have a vacancy in our East Grinstead office for a senior mechanical engineer design focused.

The successful candidate will join the M&E team working for the Principal Engineer within a developed team involved in a wide-ranging role which could include (project dependent) design, bid preparation, specification and tender preparation, site asset surveys, site supervision during construction. There will also be opportunities to carry our assistant project management roles where available.

The successful candidate will also provide assistance to the principal engineer on governance and assistance to the younger engineers.

We are ideally looking for an individual who is keen to progress and be working towards their Chartership with the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.

What you’ll be doing:

• Mechanical design.
• Bid preparation.
• Report production.
• Specification and tender preparation.
• Site asset surveys.
• Liaison with operations and maintenance staff on site.
• Be able to ensure compliance with current industry standards and to work with all stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.
• Be able to produce clear and concise written documentation for operational staff who undertake ongoing operation and maintenance of plant.

• Recognized degree or equivalent.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Have an outgoing, confident, and friendly manner.
