Job Description
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Define product requirements, establish design criterions of equipment and system
- Develop concepts and contribute with cost and risk analysis for the projects
- Support product owners in technical/design matters
- Secure scope and verify technical specifications on binding offers from sales
- Together with the Tender Manager establish the technical specifications and all related technical queries
- Create concept descriptions and drawings on concept level so that concepts are ready for detailing
- Work closely with the engineering detailing leads to be sure that the scope and system design of concepts are clearly understood and ready for detail engineering
- Provide technical support for Sales Managers/Head of Sales in negotiations on contracts/opportunities
- Maintain good knowledge of relevant class rules, standards, and regulations
- Provide support for detailed engineering during project execution
- Comply with Quality and Internal Control routines according to End-to-End Process flow and Standing order in FAR processes
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Technical education or experience in mechanical engineering preferably on Bachelors level or higher. Relevant experience may compensate for lack of education
- Background from international maritime environmental/oil & gas environment
- 2-5 years of relevant design experience
- Computer skills in the most used data and word processing programs
- Good knowledge of English and Norwegian, both written and verbal
