The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the development and coordinated execution of overall marketing strategy to drive results for one of Manheim’s largest market centers. This position will be responsible for positioning the Manheim brand with existing and prospective clients and will create strategic plans to drive growth at each location. Must have people leader experience and ability to manage multiple key initiatives.
This position will drive collaboration between the market sales team, auction marketing leads, corporate marketing stakeholders, and other high opportunity teams within Cox Automotive. Position will have financial and budget responsibility.
LEADERSHIP
Drive marketing best practices adoption and brand alignment for multiple Manheim auctions through solid line management responsibility to marketing and client engagement specialist teams at the assigned locations
Deliver marketing expertise and collaboration within the location leadership teams to drive business results
Must have experience in managing and driving teams
STRATEGIC PLANNING
Leads development of joint location marketing strategy and annual planning and evaluates relevant data and analytics to inform strategy and achieve goals and objectives
Drive key initiatives within assigned locations to meet business objectives
Define goals and metrics to meet campaign objectives
Recommend marketing spend needed to accomplish objectives
Manage marketing budget at each location to deliver largest impact of marketing strategy
Ensure alignment of plan with overall marketing strategy and brand guidelines
Support campaign development for key events as dictated by new business opportunities and local/corporate initiatives
MARKETING EXECUTION
Oversee development and implementation of marketing strategy, plan development, and execution
Delegation of tactics to drive plans and campaigns to completion through campaign management and Field Marketing Director
Communicate post-campaign results and metrics vs. goal to local leadership, Field Marketing Director, and corporate marketing as applicable
Manage workload and expenses to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
COLLABORATION
Single point of contact for locations (regarding: consulting/data requests, creative, etc.)
Present and gain alignment from key stakeholders (GM, AGM, Field Sales, Corporate Marketing, Dealer Services, and Commercial)
Consistently spend time at assigned locations to build relationship and understand local needs to ensure alignment
Participate in location leadership meetings
Partner with business units within Auction and Wholesale Services to identify and deliver strategy that drives results
Collaborate with Field Marketing Director team to ensure adoption of best practices
Qualifications:
Bachelors in a marketing or communications discipline (e.g. Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Business) and 7 years of progressive management experience in strategic planning, CRM, campaign development and execution, campaign targeting and email marketing OR an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
