THE TEAM
ASOS Marketplace is fundamental in supporting the ASOS mission to become the world's number-one destination for fashion-loving 20-somethings. The platform directly connects ASOS browsers and buyers to over 1000 Independent brands and Vintage sellers, who together provide a unique and curated offer of new, on-trend items as well as vintage, upcycled and recycled items.
THE ROLE
The Senior Marketing Manager will be responsible for ASOS Marketplace’s entire content and marketing output, across all buyer and seller-facing channels. You will generate a deep understanding of our buyers and sellers, and work with the team to find creative ways to truly engage with our target audience and drive customer acquisition and sales. Ideally, you bring substantial knowledge in marketing strategy and storytelling, as well as a good understanding of marketing KPIs. Your main asset is your creative approach in telling our brand story for ASOS Marketplace, and finding new ways to engage and convert customers, while leveraging internal relationships and resources to do this.
You are also someone who enjoys working cross-functionally and is enthusiastic about leveraging partnership opportunities to drive awareness of ASOS Marketplace (e.g. partnering with ASOS.com). We are a small team and agile team, so you must enjoy working at pace, using available resources efficiently and be highly self-motivated.
You will manage a team of three, who will each oversee execution and performance of key marketing channels (ie. performance marketing, social and CRM).
You’ll be...
Oversee performance of all marketing channels, including but not limited to: social (paid and organic), paid search, CRM, SEO and all content on the website
Creating engaging content and campaigns which serve to position ASOS Marketplace as the best place to shop vintage and independent fashion. There are content creators within your team, but as we are a small operation, content creation will often form part of your role too
Leveraging relationships with key teams in ASOS to gain regular coverage for ASOS Marketplace across ASOS channels and in press releases, while ultimately ensuring the platform is positioned as a meaningful extension of the ASOS proposition
Acting as a brand guardian for ASOS Marketplace, and ultimately ASOS, by ensuring all comms are aligned to the style guide and brand tone/position. Largely this is across our core marketing activity, but you will also be responsible for ensuring external comms created by any part of the Marketplace team are on-brand
Working closely with the Merchandising & Trading Manager to set business priorities and plan relevant activity to support these throughout the year
Be responsible for setting and managing the digital marketing budget which has stringent profit KPIs attached
Producing detailed analysis, weekly, monthly and quarterly, on channel performance, and proactively proposing actions to maximise ROI
Overseeing comms for our community of sellers, across social, email and the website, and partnering with our seller management team to ensure appropriate coverage of sellers across marketing channels
Collaborating with the Product and Tech team on buyer experience improvements and supporting on new software launches and site updates with content/copy where required
Managing, coaching and developing a team of three. Including three direct reports: a Marketing Executive, Digital Marketing Executive, and Junior Editor
We’d love to meet someone with …

A creative mind with endless ideas, and is unafraid to get their hands dirty to execute them
A track record of managing and delivering against a digital marketing budget, as well as setting and reporting against marketing KPIs
