Role Summary
Within Cox Communications Learning and Workforce Capability team, we are looking for a Senior Manager, Workforce Management & Capacity Planning. This role is responsible for leading workforce management and governance responsibilities for the learning organization to include capacity management methodology and execution, data analysis and overall governance of the processes and procedures established within the organization. In addition, this role will work with stakeholders to ensure quality deliverables and measurement of impact to business goals. This role will provide thought leadership in workforce management and governance practice and processes. This role will help identify trends and areas for increased operational efficiencies, improvements, data-grounded insights, as well as propose and drive innovative solutions that are scalable in improving effectiveness and performance. This role will drive the Learning and Workforce Capability business intelligence and be responsible for accurate tracking, trending, data analysis, data presentation and solutions to our key stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Workforce Management:
Execution and management of all capacity planning to include day to day and forecasting for the learning team roles: instructional designers, Professional Educators, and Senior Learning Advisors
Utilizes data to develop long and short-term planning around project volume, project sizing, time to complete
Creates and maintains a hiring and staffing methodology to meet service levels based on volume and delivery deadlines
Creates a prioritization framework that identifies, prioritizes and structures learning initiatives to ensure the learning organization is working on the highest priorities that will deliver the largest business impact
Provides proactive reporting on the ranked learning initiatives to the leadership team to facilitate decision making processes
Governance
Develop and execute on a governance model that supports the learning organization
Map and evaluate processes, providing feedback on opportunities to improve performance and automate key steps
Continuously monitor and implement changes to improve inefficiencies or service quality
Utilize in-depth professional knowledge and acumen to develop models and procedures, and monitor trends across the L&D teams and the business groups we support.

Manage the collection of learning data and update operational metrics – to include capacity, productivity, operating costs and other metrics as needed
Produce and manage reporting dashboards as needed for the organization
Develop a deep understanding of data trends; identify outliers, exceptions, and data inconsistencies
Collaborate with the internal learning team and their business partners to secure business metrics that can be monitored to determine the learning impact of initiatives
Seek requirements to build scalable, learning data and information solutions that measure impact and ROI.
Strategic Partnership and Influence
Build relationships internally and with cross-functional stakeholders to influence prioritization and planning of learning initiatives
Provide strategic guidance and influence with L&D leaders related to data trends, forecasts, and operational insights to help inform business decisions.
5+ years’ experience in workforce management, forecasting, data analysis
10 years of experience required in related field (Business, Finance, Operations, Training & Development/HR)
Demonstrated success in navigating and driving change
Minimum of 2 years’ experience with Tableau (preferred) and/or other visualization tools
Strong analytic and diagnostic skills with a data-driven and metrics-driven approach
Strong knowledge of database management concepts, application and data modeling, and how data flows into and out of applications
Extensive experience with Excel including implementing data structures that streamline report extraction and data analysis required
Exceptional math and communication skills and strong written and verbal communication skills required
Strong experience with MS Office products including SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
Analytical and strategic, with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done
Ability to work independently, present and coordinate with a team, or function as a lead creative problem solver
Exceptional relationship-building, influencing, problem-solving and communication skills
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
Enterprise-wide thinker with the ability to influence and obtain buy-in at all levels of the organization
Proven ability to work effectively and deliver proactively in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented, dynamic and virtual environment
Proven competency with standard business applications such as PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau and Smartsheets.
Proficient and working knowledge with resource management applications
Preferred
BS/BA degree in business, communications, organizational development
Master’s Degree in related discipline
Experience in a dynamic, fast-changing industry desired (telecommunications, manufacturing, retail operations)
Proven executive level presentation skills
Six Sigma or LEAN Methodologies
PMP certification
