Summary:
The Media & Optimization Senior Manager is focused on supporting day-to-day media execution within the US business. Focused on supporting the business and digital hub on executing media and search while ensuring compliance and financial responsibility with the agencies and internal organization. Reinforcing standards and optimizing operating models and best practices for the media and search discipline.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the media and search agencies and ensure both our internal and external partners are maximizing their relationships. Educate and reinforce standards to optimize how BMS leverages and executes media as well as Organic and Paid Search across the customer journey (primarily patients, physicians, and payers). Ensure we are being financially accurate and achieving predetermined goals according to budgets and goals for the agencies and the business.
Key Responsibilities and Major Duties:
Provide support to the US business for Media, Search Engine Optimization and Search Marketing Strategy and Best Practices
Create and establish standards, best practices and advancement in how BMS leverages Media, Organic and paid search activities
Establish deeper strategic relationships with Media and Search Engine providers. Allowing BMS to stay ahead of algorithm changes/advancements in SEM/SEO
Drive greater emphasis on leveraging digital media, paid and organic search together to drive the maximum impact on behalf of our brands
Explore and partner across the matrix on innovative solutions such as voice search, and machine learning capabilities to drive advancements in media and search
Drive continuous education and improvement across all 3rd party media and search activities
Partner with AD, Media and Optimization for media, SEO/SEM driving standards, best practices, tools and optimization of media and SEO/SEM Strategies
Builds and maintains subject matter expertise on BMS and external/industry capabilities
Provides input into agency and/or vendor selection and management of agencies / vendors
Develops and maintains operational model, standards and capability roadmap in partnership with key stakeholders
Collaborates across BMS organization (Multi-Channel Hub, Information Technology, Multi-Channel Capabilities Standards Committee (legal, medical, marketing and Regulatory), and Business Units on key activities like planning, prioritizing, and implementation support for key media/SEO/SEM Strategies
Aligns Search agencies with CID workbook and adobe analytics training and implementation with Multi-Channel Capabilities
Identifies needs for media/SEO/SEM solutions across the enterprise and escalates to the MC Hub team leaders
Supports analytics KPIs/Measurement plans, optimization and insights of monthly activity/quarterly impact and integrates with rest of marketing mix and media optimization
Provide training and education for US internal MCH and Brand stakeholders to enable pull through across markets and businesses.
Qualifications:
4 year bachelor’s degree required
6+ years’ experience focused on media strategy and execution.
Proven track record developing and executing consumer media campaigns to achieve superior results, demonstrating data-driven strategic thinking, experimentation, customer orientation, and operational excellence
Hands on experience managing Paid Social, SEM and TV media strategy and execution, preferred experience in other digital media channels as well
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to assess business results of media tactics, define appropriate metrics / KPIs, and maximize value of marketing investment
Proven track record of collaborating with other teams and delivering results on budget, schedule and strategy
Excellent project management skills, including experience selecting/directing agencies and vendors
Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
Experience and knowledge of the Legal/Medical/Regulatory review process
Experience working in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry preferred
Experience working at a media agency preferred
