The successful candidate will partner with Brand and Sales leadership to create the vision and strategy for field reporting and analytics in alignment with leadership priorities and business stakeholder requirements. To facilitate this partnership, the candidate will be responsible for the following core deliverables:

Role Overview

  • Enable flawless execution and delivery of all field analytics related operations (Onelook, field reporting, etc.) and identify opportunities for in-depth analytics based on ongoing trend assessments
  • Develop standard cross-brand metrics/KPIs, and work with Sales and Marketing leadership to enhance value of information in business performance and execution reports
  • Partner proactively with Brand Marketing, Sales, BI&A teams, and other internal/external matrix teams to deliver integrated solutions to emerging issues and questions
  • Enable seamless development, execution, and evaluation of ad-hoc requests. Manages ad-hoc requests to ensure all questions and investigations are researched and responded to appropriately to the relevant stakeholders
  • Supports the application of fact based decision making for key market questions for BMS brands within the Cardiovascular OR Immunology portfolio
  • Implements best practice adoption within stated areas of responsibility, applying appropriate levels of technical capability and subject matter expertise to address business questions
  • Perform QA/QC for all performance reporting deliverables, provides commentary on trends and key metrics and is responsible for dissemination to appropriate business stakeholder
  • Executes market/business analysis to improve value to our patients through deepened market understanding and practical application
  • Proactively manages flow of planned and ad hoc analytics requests, ensuring  consistent quality and timeliness in delivery to business stakeholders
  • Centralize, streamline, and deliver all sales and marketing reports in a flawless and timely manner

Key Responsibilities

  • Partners with in-market Sales leadership, Sales/operations leads, to deliver wide array of analytics to support strategic and tactical commercial decisions
  • Manages and executes the evaluation, improvement, and development of self-service reporting tools/capabilities, including Onelook
  • Leverages standards for the provision of analytics to support planning and decision making processes, and utilizes analytics escalation processes
  • Provides input/feedback to improve and enhance capabilities related to analytics deliverables including evaluation of tools and platform to disseminate information to the field
  • Partners with the Director – US Commercial CV / IMM Analytics to identify and evaluate current and future analytics needs for responsible markets and brand(s) in support of decision making
  • Supports culture of analytics and fact-based decision making through the utilization of standard methodologies and approaches
  • Develops and maintains a deep understanding of US IMM business priorities, meeting agreed upon analytics deliverables/timing
  • Effectively collaborates with a broad set of cross functional counterparts  (including Strategy & Operations Leads, Brand Leadership, and Sales Operations) to achieve organizational objectives
  • Develops seamless, collaborative, cross-functional approaches to problem solving and holistic cross-customer analysis
  • Collaborates with other members of BI&A to ensure the consistent application of team vision across capabilities and services
  • Manages workload prioritization of  on-site/offshore consultant support and leverages other teams within BI&A and across BMS to successfully achieve business objectives
  • Understands, demonstrates, and drives adherence to all BMS operating policies

List of minimum requirements

  • BA/BS required (quantitative area of study preferred)
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience working in the therapeutic area of CV/IMM and/OR launch brands
  • Experience interacting with marketing management, understanding, anticipating, and fulfilling their insight/analytical information requirements
  • Ability to draw inferences from disparate pieces of data, identify key findings and link to implications and  provide recommendations
  • Strong creative problem solving skills to answer key business questions
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects and priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse teams across organizational lines and structures
  • Ability to lead teams, influence cross-functionally and manage a heavy workload
