The Role
Do you want to be part of the Strategy & Planning Center of Excellence (COE) within the Office of the CIO (OCIO)? We are looking for a Senior Manager of Strategy & Planning who will use strategic, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to support the strategic planning process and business management processes for domains within Fidelity Technology, including driving strategic alignment within Fidelity Technology and the broader Fidelity organization. This role is highly analytical and requires delivery of results as both an individual contributor and through influence in a highly matrixed, fast-paced organization. In addition, your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the articulation of the Fidelity Technology and Enterprise Technology domain strategies, including objectives and critical metrics and strategic work efforts
Assessing progress against Fidelity Technology goals and supervising key performance indicators to provide insights about the efficiency of the Fidelity Technology (or individual domain) strategies
Maintaining integrity of and adherence to routines, structure, and coordination to ensure execution of the Fidelity Technology strategy
Optimizing the operating model to improve scale and efficiency
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
3-7 years of relevant experience in strategy and planning functions
Proven success at working on teams that deliver sophisticated strategic transformation and growth projects
Outstanding analytical, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Self-starter with strong performance orientation and a “no surprise†approach
Strategic and creative problem solver – think outside the box and provide a big picture view of possibilities
Ability to lead and work on teams to optimally deliver on sophisticated initiatives
Strong ability to partner and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Strong program management and organizational skills
Comfort with complexity and ambiguity
The Team
The mission of the OCIO is to enable a consistent, strategic, and open approach to technology management to ensure that Fidelity Technology has the capabilities to drive our digital business transformation. This dynamic role will chip into the management of 13 key capabilities within the scope of the OCIO.
