Do you want to join a team committed to enabling excellent regulatory compliance ? HR Payroll Risk and Compliance  is seeking a passionate and hardworking professional to join the team! You will be accountable for assisting the HR function to anticipate and mitigate a range of regulatory compliance and operational risks.  You will be responsible for developing compliance competencies within our dedicated team of Risk professionals supporting Fidelity’s human resources group.


You must be able to work effectively with peers and associates at all levels across the organization to enable effective risk and compliance management. You will personify the Fidelity Leadership Principle “Thinks and Works across Fidelity” by collaborating with multiple BUs, Risk and Compliance groups 

The Senior Manager Role

 

As part of the management team you will help shape our compliance and risk management strategy and approach. You will influence/enable the development and implementation of effective HR compliance risk management processes within Fidelity. This position is also accountable for maintaining relationships with business experts and providing overall compliance thought leadership. 

 

The Expertise You Have

 

·         7+ years’ industry experience, including some HR, Compliance, Tax , Audit and/or other Risk Management activities.

·         Bachelors’ Degree required

·         Demonstrated leadership experience

·         Strong problem solving and analytical skills

·         Ability to escalate issues as appropriate to senior management

·         Demonstrated ability to lead working groups and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and/or external business partners

·         Thrive in a dynamic organization where priorities shift to respond to business needs

·         You have in-depth knowledge and expertise of HR Regulatory compliance matters

·         You are a strategic problem-solver who approaches work with an open mind and sense of creativity by challenging current practices and recommending improvements to mitigate compliance and operational risks and drive positive change

·         You possess the ability to build strong and expansive working relationships with internal business partners (e.g. HR &Payroll Operations, Global Mobility, Benefits, Corporate Tax and Legal)

·         You can work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment handling multiple projects simultaneously with minimal day-to-day supervision and can provide supervision and direction to less experienced associates

·         You communicate clearly, concisely and impactfully to influence others, and tailor messaging to audience

·         You have excellent verbal and communication skills

·         Proactively engage with the HR Function to identify operational and compliance risks

·         Developing and executing regulatory compliance-related risk assessments, monitoring, and testing programs

·         Effectively monitoring and identifying updates to HR/Payroll laws in the United States and other countries where Fidelity associates are employed

·         Uses knowledge of systems, processes, and policies to determine the business impact of changes in the law and supports efforts to implement operational updates

·         Leads projects and/or activities that ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations (employment-related regulations).

·         Leverages data analytics to identify areas of risk and/or test operating effectiveness of existing controls

·         Conduct research to provide guidance on business partner compliance inquiries
