Technology Product Development: Cash Payments

Position Description:

The Product Development team within Morgan Stanley Fund Services (MSFS) works with the business to establish the overall strategy and priorities for the technology products and platforms. Based on the business strategy and overall priorities, the Product Development team creates product plans including high level business requirements, cost analysis, benefits definition and an overall go to market rollout plan.

The candidate will work closely with the business unit to manage and implement the direction and priorities of the overall accounting platform. This candidate will be responsible for facilitating and gathering detailed user requirements for the development teams, facilitating design reviews with the business and manage the overall rollout plans including QA, user testing, staff training and final delivery. This role also includes being the first line of user support for products, track client issues and works with business to prioritize post implementation issues and enhancements requests. This candidate will have to coordinate between the business, development teams across multiple global locations.

Responsibilities

1. Product subject matter expert in Cash
2. Gathering and analyze requirements from business users
3. Understand requirements and create well defined acceptance criteria and test cases for the identified requirements
4. Coordinating with development team to ensure implementation of requirements defined
5. Responsible to work with Process Owners and Subject Matter Experts to identify and execute the test plans and test cases
6. Construct detailed current and end state process maps/process flows
7. Coordinates with on and offshore team members to ensure the requirements and testing is modelled according to business rules and required practices
8. Co-ordinates UAT and Production testing and validation for releases
9. Responsible to track and log defects during execution
10. Timely escalation of project risks and issues
11. Strong communication and project management skills
12. Proactively seeks opportunities to improve existing cash processes and tools to provide an enhanced end user experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with an in-depth knowledge of cash processing
• 6-8 years’ experience in business analysis, requirement gathering and end to end project management of various applications
• Experience in managing system roll outs
• Comfortable interfacing with executive management, business users and development teams in multiple locations
• Have a good understanding of the Software development lifecycle
• Have a reasonable understanding of the Hedge Funds domain
• Needs to be comfortable with Microsoft office: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Share point, Access
