The Senior Manager, Marketing Science will be a critical player in Cox Auto’s digital transformation, working directly with Director, MarTech, as well as with cross-functional internal teams and external partners/vendors. As privacy regulations continue to evolve, you will be responsible for developing data-driven strategies for consumer and client-facing marketing teams, with an emphasis on how to best leverage CAI’s vast portfolio of 1PD for activation and measurement purposes.
You are a problem solver, have a passion for all things Data and Tech, and will be the in-house Marketing Science expert for Autotrader and Kelley Blue Book Brand and Performance Media teams. As a member of the Marketing Technology group, you will work hand-in-hand with leaders across Product and Analytics to generate insights needed to drive growth and strengthen ROI for core business units. You will have the ability to seamlessly translate business objectives into actionable data-driven recommendations for digital media planning and execution tactics.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in highly complex matrix organizations and managing 3rd party agency partners. You will have a deep understanding of best-in-class analytics and data visualization tools (Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Datorama, Tableau, etc.), as well as being motivated to explore future-proofed measurement solutions (clean room environments) to help combat challenges related to the depreciation of 3rd party cookies.
Tracking & Measurement: define + implement + validate tracking, taxonomy, and data gathering strategies for measurement framework development
Data Onboarding & Activation: blending of 1st and 3rd party datasets to be leveraged via media initiatives for B2C and B2B marketing teams
Hands-on-Keyboard Data Exercises: design + build + automate processes related to analysis and reporting deliverables
Insights & Analytics: clearly communicate business insights to cross-functional stakeholders and provide actionable recommendations for solutions that will drive the improvement of media outcomes
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (Marketing, Computer Science, Economics or relevant discipline) and 10 years of experience, with 3 years of leadership OR an equivalent combination of education and work- related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
5 years of experience in Marketing Analytics and/or Data Science, preferably with a strong Consumer Media background in digital (paid search, display, social, video, email)
Proficient in Data Visualization (Tableau, Datorama, etc.)
SQL & Python experience working with large datasets
Proficient in Excel (preferably with a focus on forecasting and financial modeling)
Extensive hands-on-keyboard expertise with the Google Marketing Platform suite of products
Proven track record of leveraging quantitative analysis to drive marketing decisions
Strong analytical/problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and organization
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage and prioritize heavy workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong business acumen, with the ability to work effectively with senior leaders and other key stakeholders throughout the organization
Experience managing advertising agencies and technology vendors (LiveRamp, Adstra, Google, Flashtalking, etc.)
This position requires up to 5% travel
