Provides support and resolution to traders and portfolio managers across multiple applications and subsystems, including providing documentation, testing post-installation performance, and providing technology solutions for daily issues. Uses business knowledge to perform project management for technology projects. Works with end-users to coordinate product development and support. Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues. Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Analyzes, designs, and develops project roadmaps.
• Leads end-to-end product development.
• Owns trading product lines and implements product development projects by performing complex business requirements analysis, developing products, managing product delivery, and undertaking extensive data analytics to derive valuable insights to resolve business issues and challenges.
• Support multiple concurrent projects across the enterprise.
• Provides technical input and gap analysis on execution, planning, and design discussions for multiple projects with key stakeholders.
• Collaborates with foreign exchange business unit representatives and application, middle-tier, quality assurance, database administration, and production support development teams.
• Develops and designs database models according to business requirements.
• Designs and develops database jobs and business queries for multiple, concurrent projects.
• Facilitates development team operations and communications.
• Improves technical capabilities and develops best practices across technical tiers.
• Ensures quality and timely application development, deployment, and integration by coordinating with subsystem application owners and stakeholders.
• Contributes to the estimation, planning, analysis, design, and development of projects.
• Works in a fast-paced environment delivering tactical and strategic technology solutions.
• Establishes and project manages analysis plans for multiple and moderately complex work steams.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor of Science degree (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience designing and developing components to support data analytics for trading, research, reporting, and portfolio management applications.
Or, alternatively, Master of Science degree (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience designing and developing components to support data analytics for trading, research, reporting, and portfolio management applications.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
Demonstrated Expertise (“DEâ€) planning and coordinating project schedules — backlog tracking and sprint management (using Jira, Jira Align, Domo, and Mural), and manual process automation, improvement, and reporting — for project team members using Agile methodologies; translating strategic objectives into actionable insights, using Visio, SharePoint, and Confluence; breaking sophisticated product features into clear concise stories with well-defined business value and acceptance criteria using Jira; and writing objectives and KPI to track progress using Domo.
DE defining strategic, high quality roadmaps for the betterment of business management technology products through data driven business analysis, using PL/SQL with Toad and SQL Developer; and writing requirements, solving production issues, performing gap analysis, and conduct UAT testing, using Postman, Fitness, and Jmeter.
DE providing technical leadership for an asset management team responsible for developing, deploying, and supporting critical cash management applications used for the authorization and authentication of portfolio managers and their access to day-to-day portfolio management activities, using Java, Spring boot framework modules, and AngularJS team in an asset management division of a multi-geographical financial service company.
DE in program management — conveying goals and specifications of projects to teams and stakeholders to adhere to business requirements within specified time constraints — of investment Information Technology (IT) projects.
