What You’ll Do:

 

Collaborate

Partner with analysts, customers, and quality assurance to gain an understanding of functional and technical requirements and business processes.

Proactively influence design reviews by sharing technical subject matter expertise and highlighting risks.

Identify and prioritize architecture and technical design requirements.

Provide estimated work effort for development and delivery.

Complete necessary documentation to prepare applications for migration to Production.

Lead

Manage Integration resources (employees and contractors) on the HCM Share Services agile service delivery team.

Architect, design, build and implement highly secure, compliant, resilient, cost effective and high performing solutions.

Ensures team-wide application of standard operating procedures for development, deployment, support, break-fix, and systems management.

Manage technical work efforts across multiple projects in a agile team.

Drive results with minimal supervision and mentor team.

Take the lead on difficult defect detection, problem solving, and troubleshooting.

Address escalated technical defects identified by the team.

Mentor application developers to expand their knowledge base on integration design and development.

Execute

Lead the development and execution of integration development and unit test.

Drive success during development by facilitating frequent cross-functional standups to review, prioritize, and ensure consistent delivery and standards are used.

Execute test cases that may include unit, functional, system, stress/load, regression, integration, performance, and usability testing.

Provide accurate metrics and status on integration development progress.

Certify readiness of development solution delivery.

Facilitate code reviews.

Collaborate to troubleshoot and resolve escalated production, integration/application issues.

 

Strategize and Grow

Continuously gather feedback on the solution delivery process and refine our approach to deliver robust quality solutions and delight our customers.

Apply advanced knowledge of integration development solutions, methodologies, and techniques to design, configure and build quality integrations.

Exhibit a growth mindset while learning innovative technologies and techniques.

Formalize integration development and delivery procedures.

Create efficiencies with integration development to minimize delivery time and standardize delivery.

This role is a hands-on working manager role in the professional career track with 1-3 direct reports. This Integration leader will lead and conduct integration development in an Agile team/environment supporting HCM applications across the enterprise including but not limited to integrations to/from Workday, SumTotal, PeopleFluent and other HCM applications.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent

10+ years of hands-on experience in building and debugging Workday Integrations including EIB, Connectors (PECI, WECI, CCW etc.) and Workday Studio, and creating Workday custom reports, calculated fields, and XSLTs

Strong knowledge of Web Services (SOAP & RESTFul), WSDL, XSLT, and XML integrations

Workday Integration experience

Enterprise Interface Builder

Workday Studio

Workday Cloud Connect

Familiarity / experience with API (Application Programming Interface) technology and direct integrations with Workday

Experience with application and integration development in the following functional areas:

HR, Benefits, Payroll, Time & Attendance, Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance, Learning, Compensation

Ability to lead and partner with offshore development team

Solid group facilitation and communication skills.

Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Understanding of both Software Development Life Cycle and DevOps best practices such as Agile methodologies and Continuous Integration/Delivery for distributed services

Proven documentation and presentation skills

Ability to quickly adapt to a changing environment

Ability to adjust to rapid changes in deadlines and priorities

Ability to manage multiple high priority projects

Quickly understand new information and how it connects to a larger picture

Openness to receiving and applying feedback

Possess a collaborative, get-it-done personality
