Job Description

Love food? Interested in shaping the grocery offering of Amazon Fresh?

Sounds great! What will I be working on?

You will own the grocery strategy and execution for the EU grocery supply chain, including supply chain execution into each of our Amazon Fresh fulfillment centers and grocery distribution centers. You will use analytical, program management, and operations management skills to lead a team of Supply Chain Managers to build and operate the Amazon grocery fulfillment network of the future. You're a self-driven leader who can dive deep into a process, reassess old assumptions, and propose innovative new solutions backed with data. You will help craft new fulfillment concepts to integrate into our network to improve the overall customer experience and reduce the total cost of fulfillment. Your impact will be critical to the growth of grocery at Amazon. And you’ll have some fun while you do it, too.

This Sr. Supply Chain Manager will also own regional execution of the distribution center to fulfillment center supply chain and be responsible for critical metrics including instock, transportation costs, on-time vendor performance management and capacity utilization. You will partner closely with other Amazon teams such as Amazon Fresh Retail, Operations, multiple technology team partners and Finance in order to delight customers and meet our goals. We will also look to you for evaluation and implementation of new processes and execution technology products that will improve our supply chain and scale our operation for future growth.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
· Actively support and foster a culture of inclusion.
· Lead and manage a team of supply chain managers to drive high performance.
· Manage a diverse project portfolio supporting supply chain initiatives and strategies.
· Establish robust plans and corrective actions to meet instock goals for Amazon’s grocery businesses.
· Seek to understand business problems, automation opportunities and limitations, scaling factors, and topology conditions.
· Design long term roadmap and action plans to achieve cost and volume goals.
· Writing documents to align on optimization initiatives with senior leadership.
· Design, implement and monitor metrics to track the progress and growth of programs, and to highlight issues on a timely basis.
· Solve ambiguous analyses with less well-defined inputs and outputs; guide to the heart of the problem and identify root causes.
· Coordinate with Operations, Finance, Design, Delivery, Technology and Retail partners to lead the roadmap for instock, cost, volume, and speed optimization initiatives.

· Be the thought leader in the space by constantly looking around the corner and challenging status quo.
