The senior manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will work within the Studio FP&A function which is part of the Disney Media Entertainment Distribution (DMED) segment of The Walt Disney Company. The senior manager will report to the Director, FP&A and will work closely with executive stakeholders across the Studio and DMED, and key finance leads in other Disney segments.

Studio FP&A is dedicated to providing high quality information and services to our business partners. We support their decision making process while earning their confidence and respect by efficiently reporting and maintaining accurate and timely financial data.

This position plays a key leadership role within the Studio FP&A group. The key areas of responsibility include: 1) the review and consolidation of the Studio’s P&L results for budgets, forecasts, and accounting closes (including the review of data integrity in our SAP data cubes), 2) play a key leadership role in the Studio’s Five Year Strategic Plan, 3) consolidate and analyze Studio production cash flow spend and 4) drive the Studio’s approval process for capital investments.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead financial planning cycles (5YP / AOP / forecasts) for P&L and Cash Flow (e.g. Production Spend and Capital)
  • Ensure that stakeholders are aligned on calendars and process
  • Manage overall consolidation, identify key themes and stories about our businesses, lead the creation of engaging, informative Studio-level deck presentations
  • Partner with certain Lines of Business during each planning cycle, ensuring a deeper understanding of the business while providing Studio-level support to assist our finance colleagues across the organization
  • Partner with Controllership and DMED Segment FP&A on various deliverables associated with each planning cycle and quarter close
  • Work with Studio CFO, Deal Analysis and production teams to consolidate and project production cash flow spend (a key KPI metric for Studio)
  • Manage AOP Capital consolidation and obtain approvals from Corporate
  • Embrace TWDC’s Finance Transformation initiatives, and identify process improvements and efficiencies which can help modernize the FP&A function
  • Provide management reporting (including KPI’s), ad-hoc analysis, and insights to Senior Leadership, thereby adding value by contributing to the decision-making process and also helping the Segment deliver on strategic, financial, and operational goals
  • Proactively consult with subject matter experts for resolution of issues / questions (including Controllership and COGNOS TM1 development teams), and share information with team members
  • Lead, mentor, and develop direct reports; Provide indirect leadership and guidance to team members across the global organization

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify and resolve issues
  • Strong knowledge of Excel (including macros)
  • Proven track record at developing and managing teams in a fast-paced, and inclusive environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to summarize ideas and issues, and succinctly present to senior management
  • Strong attention to detail without losing sight of broader objectives
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple teams to achieve reporting objectives
  • Excellent organizational skills and proven track record to meet deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, while keeping supervisor properly informed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP and Cognos TM1 experience is a plus

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required

Preferred Education

  • MBA, preferred

This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.
