Job Summary:

Marketing and Attractions & Entertainment (A&E) Finance seeks a team member who is passionate about the future development and growth of the Disneyland Resort guest experience and enjoys working closely with business partners on both strategic and tactical projects.

This position will be responsible for leading the financial support and analysis for the Disneyland Resort Marketing spend and business case development of new Guest offerings. The Senior Finance Manager will develop Marketing and Capital plans, as well as lead the preparation of pro formas and Capital Authorization Requests (CARs) for all A&E projects planned for the Disneyland Resort. Qualified candidate will have visibility to senior leadership across DLR, WDI and WDW providing the opportunity to work with a variety of creative and operational partners in a dynamic, fast paced environment.

A successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong communication, partnering, and analytical skills, including advanced excel modeling experience. The candidate will be responsible for bringing together project valuation of new A&E creative scope projects aligned with marketing campaign tactics.

Responsibilities:

As the Senior Finance Manager for Marketing and A&E Finance, you would be the site key point of contact for the Disneyland Resort Marketing forecast and consolidated Capital forecast as well as leading the financial development of the A&E CARs to support the future 10 year business growth objectives.

Every day is different for the Marketing and A&E Senior Finance Manager. Here are the key responsibilities to be successful in this position.

  • Forecasting & Planning: Leading the financial planning processes including quarterly forecast and long-term plan for both Disneyland Resort Marketing and Capital projects on the A&E Menu (10 year capital investment for the Disneyland Resort)
  • Partner Collaboration: Coordinating cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders on a regular basis, all while maintaining a strong emphasis on collaboration and partnership
  • Financial Modeling: Gathering partner inputs to inform and develop the business case (CARS/Memo) for Disneyland Resort Marketing and A&E projects while driving the overall process across a variety of teams
  • Project Performance and Cost Analysis: Facilitating post-mortem analyses for A&E investments and coordination of the Annual Operations and Maintenance cost analysis for Disneyland Resort A&E offerings
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Developing various presentations and project overviews for senior leadership and internal Disneyland Resort partners
  • Process Improvements: Identifying and implementing opportunities to automate and streamline planning processes
  • Mentoring and Leadership: Leading and coaching Cast Members, championing their professional growth and development
  • Manages a staff of 2 to 4 Cast Members

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 - 10 years finance, accounting and/or business development experience
  • Collaborative team player with strong intellectual curiosity and interpersonal skills including exceptional presentation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence partners and key business decisions; proven ability to lead teams and build relationships across the company
  • Ability to self-manage objectives, improve processes and promote changes in a fast paced work environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities and perform job responsibilities accurately while working in a fast-paced and vibrant environment
  • Advanced proficiency in pro forma development, quantitative analysis, and financial modeling including profitability/cost analysis experience (including key decision metrics – NPV, IRR, Payback, Operating Income analysis and improvement)
  • Experienced in annual budgeting, forecasting, financial and variance analysis
  • Demonstrated problem solving and strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze and resolve issues from multiple stakeholders and partners
  • Display a great sense of responsibility, ownership, and pride in delivering quality results
  • Seven or more years of experience in accounting, financial analytics or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior Walt Disney Parks & Resorts experience, in finance, business development, and/or strategy positions
  • Proficient in executive level data visualization and reporting (e.g. Tableau)
  • Experience with consolidation, forecast planning and variance analysis for large complex organizations

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration

Preferred Education

  • MBA or Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting, Business Analytics or other quantitative fields, CPA or equivalent

This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.
