Overview
The Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) Senior Manager develops, leads, and executes strategies and best practices that align with the company’s business objectives and drives creativity, diversity of thought, and employee engagement.
Primary Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities and solutions that foster an all-inclusive culture within talent management efforts, marketplace engagement, and in the communities where business is done
- Lead the strategy development for D&I including governance, policies, process, action plans, and metrics
- Collaborate effectively regarding programs and initiatives to improve recruitment, training and development, and retention of a high-performing diverse and inclusive workforce
- Partner with other Human Resources teams such as Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, and Talent Management
- Ensure integration and embed diversity and inclusion into talent management processes and employee engagement activities
- Consult and advise company leaders on best practices to ensure the organization is aligned with SGWS FAMILY values (Fun, aspire to Excellence, Mission-driven, Innovative / Inclusive / Integrity, Leadership, Yielding Results)
Additional Primary Responsibilities
- Provide input into learning and development platforms based on company objectives and coupled with best practices to create awareness and commitment to leading and building diverse teams
- Develop metrics to drive desired outcomes that are specific to the business objectives and culturally appropriate
- Prepare reports including metrics, ROI, and accomplishments, as well as future activities and strategies for the executive and regional D&I leadership councils
- Ensure all Diversity and Inclusion initiatives are coordinated with business initiatives at senior level
- Provide leadership support to Cheers to Diversity (Employee Resource Groups) in the areas of talent curating, program governance,KPIs, budget, annual planning, and new chapter activations.
- Provide D&I counsel to problem solve, collaborate, and share strategic solutions and best practices with suppliers, vendors, partner organizations and customers.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and 5-7 years of experience or equivalent education and related experience
- Strategic and conceptual thinking skills
- Strong cultural competence and experience in developing D&I programs
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects with aggressive timelines
- Strong communicator who can simplify strategy into specific actions
- Excellent presentation skills and the ability to educate diverse audiences
- Broad change management experience
- Ability to link diversity and inclusion initiatives to business strategy
- Strong ties in the community/networking
- Demonstrate commitment, initiative, independent action and versatility while embracing challenging assignments
- Ability to monitor and manage a budget
- Ability to establish and monitor the appropriate metrics to measure the results of diversity and inclusion initiatives
Physical Demands
- Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor)
- Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
- May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbs
