Job Summary:

The Sr Manager, Digital Media will oversee all digital media strategy, budgeting, planning, execution, and optimization marketing for Cox’s acquisition program.  The individual will serve as the main conduit between Cox’s media agency of record as well as Cox’s individual media partners managing a performance focused digital media plan with detailed KPIs defining results.  Additionally, this role is the primary conduit and linkage between digital media and new customer marketing strategy to implement and execute new customer marketing initiatives across digital mediums.

 Cox has aggressive revenue and sales goals and this role will be responsible for identifying growth areas and optimization opportunities.  This role will need to understand first party data, list management and future of cookieless targeting.  Cox uses Media Mix Modeling analytics to guide investment optimizations, and this individual will be responsible for working with the agencies to execute the direction.The digital channels included in this scope are programmatic display, online video, connected TV, and paid social media.  

 Essential Responsibilities and Duties

Sets strategy and develops processes and standards to ensure smooth daily operations and execution of digital media focused on acquisition.

Leverage media mix modeling and last touch metrics to manage media performance and optimizations.

Responsible for adhering to OPEX budget and achieving/exceeding sales targets

Consults and partners with New Customer strategy and product teams to ensure that the media strategy aligns with overall goals. 

Manages daily operations of agency team to execute and optimize digital media as a performance channel; provides feedback and guidance to ensure SLA standards are met. 

Responsible for display, native, video and social strategies to drive acquistion.

Partners with MarTech team to develop audience and 1-1 targeting strategies.

Define and oversees the execution of a desktop, mobile web, and mobile app media strategy.

Partner with digital team to ensure optimal end-to-end journey.

Partner with non-customer strategy leadership to identify goals and standards for media campaigns.

Translates analyses into key findings and produces insightful data-driven recommendations.   Creates executive reporting packages and shares findings with company leadership. 

Present business insights and meaningful trends to help Cox improve/optimize audience strategy and digital investments.

Manages traffic and execution of all creative assets.

Provides guidance, direction, and directly manages one to two associates. 

Reports to Senior Director, Digital Media

 Qualifications:

Minimum

7+  years work experience in digital media and/or marketing or equivalent; five years if candidate possesses advanced degree

5+ years’ experience managing digital media and digital media agencies and/or working directly for a digital media agency

3+ years of recent work experience marketing business to business via digital media

Experience and thorough understanding of online marketing tactics and KPIs (paid search, digital display, remarketing, video pre-roll/broadband tv, paid social media)

Agency and outside technology vendor management

Strong sales/marketing relationship building skills required

Must be able to work independently with minimal guidance

Track record of driving increased results performance

Excellent communication and people skills required

Bachelor’s degree in business, analytics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related field highly desired
