The Cox Automotive Senior Manager, Data Analytics role provides subject matter leadership and hands-on data analysis of Enterprise Master Data.  This includes the resolution of data issues and data quality improvement within a business workflow process, implementing the agreed upon business rules and processes.

In addition, ensure that Enterprise Master Data integration conforms to the established governance standards for Cox Automotive. 

Provide leadership to the Client Data Management and Analytics team for the delivery of Client data and analytics for Cox Automotive business needs.

Work cross-functionally with business partners from Finance, Operations and IT to design and implement decision analytics and operational reporting capabilities.

Responsible for creating analytics, translating business questions to actionable insights, supporting ongoing analytical needs, designing new analytical platforms, and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver high quality analytics solutions for Cox Automotive.

Responsible for the monthly WD4 closing of Client, Product, and Billing master data in OBIEE.

Application of data segmentation, clustering and data analysis to realize useful business insights.

Direct resource management of “Client and Product Data Analyst” role and influence others in the organization, including coaching and career guidance.

Provide direction and feedback to the “Client and Product Data Analyst” function.

Provide direct management of workload and work products.

Uses the CACM toolset to manage customer domain data and analysis requests.

Includes activities such as managing data issue resolution, customer match and hierarchy alignment.

Provides feedback to the Business Data Steward to propose changes to CACM. Development and Maintenance Teams on business rule changes and enhancements needed.

Provides feedback to Source System IT and Business Teams on source data errors.

Coordinates with MDM Café team in researching data anomalies.

Identifies error patterns and provides feedback to the Business Data Steward to determine needs for monitoring and/or immediate action.

Collaborates with the Business Data Stewards to proactively address data improvement opportunities.

Escalates issues that are not resolved in a timely manner by the CACM Development, Operations Teams or Source System Owners.

Solve complex analytical problems using quantitative approaches with a blend of analytical, mathematical and technical skills.

Partner with business resources to support both data and analytics activities.

Gather requirements and data needs of analytical reporting environments.

Understand the usage, nuances and architecture of the reporting tools required.

Verify the correctness of the data relationships, mapping and definitions.

Ensure that tools being used meet the infrastructure requirements of the organization and the project. 

Identify, document, and verify information needs of business users to support decision, analysis, and other information management activities.

Define and document consistent business definitions for data to use to measure performance

Subject area analysis of data sources, data integrity, and data cleansing requirements.

Analyze and document data domains and densities.

Validate data contents against business requirements.

Conduct data requirements gap analysis.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 10 years’ experience working within a data focused role that includes, but is not limited to, data management, data mining, data verification, and data governance, plus 3 years’ experience in management/leadership role OR an equivalent combination of education and work- related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong experience working with big data sets using Advanced Analytical Tools, Excel, Access and SQL.

Relevant experience with big data sets to perform extract, transform, load (ETL) processes.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word and PowerPoint.

Experience with data management, analysis, and visualization tools such as OBIEE, Platfora, Informatica CPQ.

Identify and resolve data issues through root cause analysis.

Strong written, communication, and organizational skills.

Quantitative/statistical and data analysis experience.

Proven ability to effectively interact and communicate closely with fellow employees.
