Role Summary:

This role is responsible for developing and planning marketing strategies to support Cox Mobile and its associated services and devices. This includes but is not limited to the product roadmap, product launches, key messaging and positioning, strategic areas of focus for marketing and recommended pricing and campaign strategy.  The successful candidate will be responsible for a full array of marketing elements and analysis designed to support Cox Mobile growth. This role will provide deep SME knowledge and leadership for bringing new initiatives to market.  The Senior Manager, Cox Mobile Marketing will report to the Director of Cox Mobile Marketing. 

 Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions 

Define and develop strategies, tactics, and programs to achieve overarching business objectives.

Align with partner organizations (Marketing, Sales, PR, Finance, Product Development, etc.) on a wide variety of marketing campaigns, programs, and customer support initiatives.

Works closely with all Marketing teams to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing plans and tactics in meeting product strategy objectives.

Develop a deep understanding of competitors’ offers, market share, advertising and promotional strategies, distribution mix, sales channels, and unique market advantages and weaknesses.     

Provide support for new product ideation, business case creation, testing and analysis, market launch decisions and on-going local product marketing needs. 

Track and report on marketing performance of assigned programs and initiatives. 

Oversees the day-to-day operation of the marketing function for Cox Mobile product as the subject matter expert. 

Partners with Product Development and Management team and other boundary partners on product development, launches, and lifecycle management. 

Ensures the necessary local market legal/regulatory policies are in place for local product deployments.

Manages operational execution process to ensure that marketing plans are implemented successfully.  Coordinates with local Field and Channel, Campaign Management, Campaign Management and Competitive Playbook Marketing Teams to ensure that marketing plans are optimized for effectiveness and efficiency, and delivered with a unified message to existing and potential customers.

Accesses researches and analyzes consumer behavior information to determine trends and identify opportunities for customer growth.

 

Qualifications:

 Minimum  

7 or more years of experience required in a Marketing related field.

 5 or more years of experience required if candidate possesses a related advanced degree. 

Wireless and/or telecommunications industry experience mandatory.  

Understanding and ability to apply marketing mix concepts (segment positioning, brand architecture, SWOT analysis, competitive assessment, marketing objectives/strategies) in pursuit of business objectives.  

Experience developing marketing briefs to guide go to market execution.

Experience in project management with an ability to establish course of action for self and others to ensure work is completed in an efficient and timely manner in light of the strategies and goals of the department and organization.   

Excellent time management skills. 

Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.  Must be able to convey information and ideas in a clear, meaningful and timely manner to ensure understanding; solicits input from audience to verify understanding and foster collaboration. 

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook. 

A self-starter with a track record of producing results. 

 Preferred 

BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired (i.e. Marketing, Business, etc.).   

3 or more years of experience in a management role or leading cross functional projects preferred.

3 or more years of experience with developing wireless device marketing plans.
