The Role
Do you want to make a difference in our customers’ lives and be part of a highly collaborative, cross-functional team committed to supporting the Office of the CIO within Fidelity Brokerage Technology (FBT), building, and delivering the communication strategy for technology associates in a global organization? We are looking for a Senior Manager of Business and Agile Engagement who will support the development and execution of communication programs that help drive Agile and team engagement while building awareness of FBT’s mission and objectives. You will build experiences for different types of audiences through relevant, creative content, and forums that drive business priorities and leader and associate engagement. In addition, your responsibilities include:
Driving critical communication programs and working collaboratively with business partners and senior leaders to ensure consistency in messaging, alignment in strategy and an effective and engaging associate experience
Building awareness and appreciation for FBT’s Agile journey while modeling Agile behaviors and principles
Maintaining strong attention to detail, accuracy and overall work quality while meeting commitments
Partnering on critical communications efforts:
Working with communication partners and business colleagues to design and deliver communications and programs that support business priorities
Naturally shifting between executive and internal (including social) communications efforts depending on the situational needs of the business
Representing FBT in Fidelity enterprise-level communications programs
Understanding, championing, and applying communication standards in support of strategic priorities
Managing communications tools, channels, and projects:
Drafting, proof-reading, editing, formatting, and leading distribution of communications to internal audiences
Developing original content for a variety of communication channels with a particular focus on intranet, email, live events, video, and social media
Measuring the impact of all communications programs to include creation and assembly of communications reports
Functioning as a project manager capable of leading multiple and simultaneous projects, ensuring that all efforts meet Fidelity's high standards in the areas of accuracy, ethics, legal, and compliance
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a professional environment
6-8+ years of proven experience as a communications/public relations professional; financial services experience preferred
Knowledge of Agile structures, principles, and ways of working, preferred but not required
Familiarity with organizational change a plus
Experienced creative problem solver and idea generator
Digitally savvy and passionate about digital communications
Strong technical skills and curiosity about learning new applications
Possess strong writing, editing, and research skills
Highly motivated and can adapt in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment
Quick learner who is open to feedback and continuous learning
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team environment and can partner effectively and creatively with all types of personalities
Strong working knowledge of multiple mediums to create consistent messaging, including use of digital platforms like SharePoint, Teams, etc.
The Team
FBT enables business partners to win in their respective marketplaces by crafting, building, and maintaining the technology platforms and products of Fidelity Institutional, Workplace Investing, and Personal Investing. Within FBT, you will be part of a team that designs, implements, and innovates business management practices that promote cross-domain alignment, transparency, and scale. This team serves as a central planning and strategy group. Our success is dependent on collaboration and partnership across FBT and with our partners across the enterprise.
