Role Summary:
Develop, recommend, and implement accounting practices throughout CCI in accordance with GAAP to ensure that financial and operating data accurately reflect the condition of the business or unit and provides reliable information necessary to control operations.
Recognized leader with a deep understanding of Accounting and Analysis. Responsible for the end-to-end ownership of multiple significant processes. Work will require driving continuous process improvements and incorporating effective internal controls. Prepares and reviews analyses with business partners and key stakeholders. Lead cross-functional projects to identify opportunities to add value through effectiveness measures. Manages other managers and/or professionals.
Major Tasks:
Lead a team of analysts who are responsible for performing accounting analysis and maintaining a complete and accurate general ledger in accordance with GAAP.
Through Collaboration with business partners manages end-to end processes to ensure accuracy, effectiveness, and compliance. Responsible for drafting and maintaining accounting and financial reporting processes and policies.
Create advanced visualizations of analysis and provide drafts for executive level presentations.
Oversee production of variance analysis to include forecasting, prior month, and ad hoc reporting.
Coach and develop people to maximize strengths. Advises and coaches team members on procedures, priorities, and standard methodology.
Maintain business partnerships across various functional areas for alignment.
Provide subject matter expertise within area of focus. Leads the Resolution of complex questions and/or problems.
Effectively communicate monthly results and complex / sensitive topics.
Build team of analysts and/or managers through recruiting, selection, developing, coaching and performance management.
Oversee preparation of documents for the review of outside auditors.
Manage and monitor the team’s accountability for KPIs.
Perform special projects and tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum
7 or more years of experience required in related field (i.e. Accounting, Finance, etc.)
5 or more years of experience required if candidate possesses a related advanced degree
Requires strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Excellent soft skills such as: interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization
Preferred
BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired (i.e. Accounting, Finance, etc.).
3 or more years of experience in a management role preferred
Experience in telecommunications industry desired
