Senior Legal Counsel, OEM Software Procurement

What you’ll achieve
As OEM Software Procurement Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for providing effective legal support to the Software Procurement organization. You will draft, review and/or negotiate legal agreements, provide strategic advice and counsel to business clients, and anticipate and guard against legal risks facing the Software Procurement organization.
In this role, you will work with Dell team members across the globe. This job allows you to work remotely and you will not need to relocate from your current home location.
You will:
Acts as legal advisor and manage a variety of legal matters pertaining to Dell’s procurement contracts and other aspects of Dell’s procurement organization
Draft, review and negotiate software procurement agreements and other legal documents related to Dell’s software procurement
Respond to internal and external legal inquiries, dealing directly with internal business stakeholders and Dell’s suppliers
Perform legal analysis/research and recommend appropriate strategies to senior legal and business leaders
Coordinate and oversee legal matters handled by outside counsel

Essential Requirements
J.D. plus admission to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction
12+ years legal experience (private practice or in-house)
Excellent negotiation and contract drafting skills
Demonstrated ability to balance legal and business considerations, problem solve and operate in a diverse and fast-paced environment
Ability to assess risk and identify actions to mitigate risk
Desirable Requirements
In-house experience preferred, but not required
Software procurement experience preferred
