We have a new and exciting opportunity to join Virgin Media O2 (VMO2) as a Senior Legal Counsel. Within this role, you will play a pivotal part in the success of our Legal & Corporate Affairs team, by means of delivering top-tier legal advice and strategy for VMO2 commercial activities, covering a broad range of sales agreements which may include the provision of IT, Voice, Data and Cloud services, as well as network infrastructure.

As one of our highly valued Senior Legal Counsel, you’ll be the one taking the lead when providing effective and timely legal advice, analysis and support for matters relating to the sales activities of our Wholesale, Public Sector, and Retail Business Partners. This will involve building positive relationships with cross-functional teams and internal partners to better understand key legal issues and operational matters, including related regulatory risks. Clear and open communication across our business is also very important to us, so come prepared to proactively progress matters through to a conclusion by way of efficient and effective planning, by staying up to date with key legal developments and sharing your expertise and knowledge!
Degree-level education in Law or equivalent.
Demonstrable experience in Commercial Law, with an ability to illustrate examples of providing strategic transactional legal advice.
Advanced partner management skills we’ll want to see your aptitude for negotiation and consultation in a highly demanding environment, with often conflicting interests!
Exceptional communication skills, with an aptitude for analysing complex legal and commercial issues, with a view to developing suitable strategies and solutions.
Experience specifically supporting business partners in the drafting and negotiation of sales agreements within the Telco / Technology sector would be beneficial, but by no means a prerequisite!
