About the role:

Our Commercial Integration team wraps around ASOS’s Oracle ERP and other core systems, we ensure accurate and timely information is consumed, enriched and passed onto neighbouring Platforms. As a relatively new Platform, emerging from our recent Truly Global Retail Transformation Programme, we are now firmly in BAU with the opportunity for each Scrum Team to influence the Teams Backlog and improve the Platform. 

Sitting at the heart of Commercial Technology, we are involved in most new company wide initiatives, giving you the opportunity to shape and make a real difference in the tech landscape.  As a Senior Software Engineer you will be embedded within one of our Scrum teams and will help lead the way in progressing the high levels of Software Engineering Excellence that ASOS strive for.  This opportunity would be great for those who want to make a real difference at the start of this journey.

What a day in the team looks like:

Working as part of an enthusiastic and motivated agile development team that takes pride in delivering high-quality software into production

• Take a test first approach from business requirements through to code
• You will Continually develop and improve our code and technology, whilst playing an active role in the conception of brand-new features for our millions of global customers
• Keep our customers happy by writing highly crafted quality code to handle our hyper-scale demand.
• Join our regular Tech Develops days to learn new things, take part in internal and external hackathons, share your knowledge and help to drive improvements in engineering

We’d like to meet people who:

• Are passionate about Software
• Are keen practitioners of TDD / ATDD

We’d love it if you have

• 5 years Java software programming experience, Java 8 preferable
• Good knowledge of Azure or transferable knowledge from AWS or similar
• Have previously acted in a team Lead or Senior Developer capacity.
• Have experience of Mulesoft ESB or would be interested to learn it.
