Overview
The Senior Director, Enterprise Service Management (ESM) is a Senior IT leader with a proven track record of leading teams to improve relationships, deliver, and support technology solutions. The job requires a transformational mindset with the ability to turn complex ideas and requirements into functional and technical solutions focused on an exceptional experience for stakeholders that business value. This role requires technical expertise in a complex technology environment with strong business acumen and a strategic solutioning mindset. Strong technology partner focused on delivering transformational business change in a fast-paced business environment that expects high quality delivery and continuous improvement.
This Senior Director will lead a high performing team that thinks “products†vs. “projects†and is highly customer and supplier focused. The role is both a proven Business Leader and a proven IT leader who possesses the ability to fully leverage new and existing technology platforms with a focus on meeting internal customers, external customers business objectives.
Specialized Skills and Technologies
Knowledgeable on the ServiceNow platform Rome release or later: service delivery products, creator workflows, app engine, and integration hub
Evangelist on the use of the enterprise service management platform
Ability to support creating the overall roadmap and shapes demand for enterprise platform consumption
Ability to ensure platform team alignment with the business strategy, roadmap, and platform governance policies
Experience providing leadership of ServiceNow instances, the core platform team, and any escalations
Ability to maximizes value by identifying additional business outcomes the platform allows
Ability to preside over the technical governance board and participate in all governance components
Ability to preside over design configuration decisions to ensure a seamless user experience that aligns with the platform design strategy
Primary Responsibilities
Communicates with upper-management and internal clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions
Managing rolling three-year technology roadmaps and vision/strategy for each system and dataset ensuring adherence to a defined enterprise architecture and set of standards
Knows business process to allow IT to create new applications and make enhancements to existing applications required by the funds and third-party business at a high velocity
Translates business needs into effective and improved processes and/or technical solutions or services coordinating with associated technology partners both internally and externally
Implements a successful data sharing vision/strategy through strong leadership skills and business case development that ensures the realization of business-partner value
Monitors technology investment, risk, and opportunity while providing clear and consistent communication to Sr. IT leadership
Responsible for the delivery of required technology components on time and on budget
Works cross functionally across ETP and outside of ETP with key business stakeholders in and outside of SGWS
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and formal education in relevant disciplines (Business, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics or relevant degreed)
12+ years of business technology leadership/management role
Strong business acumen and experience is required
Strong track record of successful appointments in similar roles within IT
History of strong client support through technology management
Experience managing large technology teams
Successful track record with managing offshore/onshore resources
