Overview
The Senior IT Director Application Development eCommerce is a Senior IT leader with a proven track record of leading teams to improve relationships, deliver, and support technology solutions. The job requires a transformational mindset with the ability to turn complex ideas and requirements into functional and technical solutions focused on an exceptional experiences for stakeholders that business value. This role requires technical expertise in a complex technology environment with strong business acumen and a strategic solutioning mindset. Strong technology partner focused on delivering transformational business change in a fast-paced business environment that expects high quality delivery and continuous improvement.
The role will lead a high performing team that thinks “products†vs. “projects†and is highly customer and supplier focused. This role is both a proven Business Leader and a proven IT leader who possesses the ability to fully leverage new and existing technology platforms with a focus on meeting internal customers, external customers business objectives.
Specialized Skills and Technologies
Experience in Hybris core, Hybris Web Content Management, Solr, Java, J2EE, Apache Web server or equivalent, angular
Strong SQL skills
Experience in developing API/Web Services, REST and SOAP, Java Script, test automation, Continuous
Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
Experience in working with Agile/Scrum and tools like Version One
Experience in cloud services such as Azure or AWS
Experience with Application Performance Management tool like DynaTrace
Ability create data flow and schematic diagrams using Visio and Power Point
Beside knowledge of software, this person is also well versed in Infrastructure dependencies
Primary Responsibilities
Communicates with upper-management and internal clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions
Oversee and manage application development and maintenance or infrastructure efforts across SGWS
Managing rolling three-year technology roadmaps and vision/strategy for each system and dataset ensuring adherence to a defined enterprise architecture and set of standards
Manage the technology teams through also phases of the SDLC
Knows business process to allow IT to create new applications and make enhancements to existing applications required by the funds and third-party business at a high velocity
Translates business needs into effective and improved processes and/or technical solutions or services coordinating with associated technology partners both internally and externally
Implements a successful data sharing vision/strategy through strong leadership skills and business case development that ensures the realization of business-partner value
Monitors technology investment, risk, and opportunity while providing clear and consistent communication to Sr. IT leadership
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of work experience and education
12+ years of business technology leadership/management role
Can build high performance teams, is team-focused, and leads from the front
History of strong client support through technology management
Successful track record with managing offshore/onshore resources
Demonstrated ability to size and estimate complex technology projects
Provide leadership to the team with the ability to lead by mapping and defining tactical and strategic solutions for the business
Experience engaging directly with stakeholders to define mission value, prioritize work and build intellectual capital in Agile techniques
