     Our Team takes responsibility for investigating and managing complex and sensitive investigations

     The Senior Investigator is responsible for investigating and managing some of the most complex and sensitive investigations resulting from allegations raised through our Open Reporting Process/Tool. . Partnership with Subject Matter Experts will be critical and a strong investigations background is essential. This role investigates allegations raised through Baker Hughes\'s open reporting/ombuds program. Support of other compliance related projects and local/regional/business initiatives is also expected.

     As a Senior Investigator, you will be responsible for:

  • Investigating allegations raised through the Open Reporting program, these allegations could be related to violations of the Baker Hughes Code of Conduct, Policy, or Law.
  • Reviewing and investigating all escalated employee complaints, allegations , disputes, and claims related to Our Way (Code of Conduct) claims
  • Summarizing investigation findings, working with the proper Subject Matter Experts, Legal, local HR and the business to ensure comprehensive review, investigation and documentation is complete.
  • Partnering with Subject Matter Experts, legal, business leaders and local HR to determine appropriate corrective actions
  • Monitoring incoming case volume on a daily basis to manage personal case load
  • Identifying ways to prevent or reduce allegations of a similar nature through the implementation of additional procedures, training, and communications
  • Using sound judgment to mitigate risk and weigh the importance and validity of information to form fact-based opinions, consults with Legal prior to making formal recommendations where appropriate
  • Multi-tasking with ease while prioritizing the most urgent needs
  • Completing other duties or project work as assigned

     To be successful in this role you will: 

  • Have a Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with good experience in internal investigations).
  • Have experience in HR, Finance, Security, Legal or Compliance Organization
  • Desired Characteristics:

  • Have training or education in law or compliance
  • Have strong listening, interviewing, and counseling skills
  • Have excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task in a fast pace environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Have exceptional communication and presentation skills with an ability to effectively interact with all levels within an organization, as well as the ability to create and summarize detailed written reports
  • Have excellent customer service and relationship management skills with the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, diplomacy, tact and business acumen
  • Have a demonstrated ability to drive results through individual efforts and influencing others, without authority over them
  • Have strong problem solving and investigatory skills; ability to objectively identify, assess, resolve, and mitigate risk while ensuring optimal results or outcomes are achieved
  • Have the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and achieve resolutions in a timely manner
  • Have the ability to prioritize in the face of competing priorities, interruptions, and distractions
  • Have a high level of integrity and objectivity to ensure proper outcomes are obtained
