Global Internal Audit provides independent, objective assurance to management and the risk and audit committees as to whether the framework of risk management, control, and governance processes, as designed and represented by management, is adequate and functioning.

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Senior Audit Manager (Group Functions Audit).

The role of the Senior Audit Manager is to lead the delivery of audits with major and/or highly complex risk and internal control frameworks. 

You will be responsible for: 

  • Driving the coordination and collaboration of a consistent delivery of audit work across the Global Businesses and Global Functions. 
  • Engaging with and providing strategic advice to internal stakeholders by utilising knowledge of the business and the governance, risk and regulatory frameworks. 
  • Managing the interface between internal and external stakeholders to ensure a common approach to and understanding of key deliverables. 
  • Play an integral role in annual as well as ongoing audit planning.
  • Provide strong leadership to a team of auditors on each engagement and having an interest in ongoing development of the team.

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements: 

  • Relevant product knowledge of Global Functions, specifically Human Resources, Pensions, Company Secretary, Communications and Marketing.
  • Significant expertise with senior stakeholder engagement and alignment. 
  • Experience working in relevant environments, i.e. audit experience in banking or a large matrix corporate environment.
  • Experience working in relevant market context, i.e. internal audit or risk management 
  • Role relevant qualifications, i.e. Professional certification(s) preferred (Association of Chartered Accountants (ACA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), MIIA, CIA, CIIA and, or similar/equivalent qualifications). 

The base location for this role is either London or Birmingham. This role will be working a hybrid work pattern with two days a week in the office.
