What's the role about?
The core of this role is to help the Partnership make insight-driven, better informed, customer-centric decisions. In order to do this, you will need to work closely with teams across the Partnership, getting close to their world; hearing their problems and spotting the opportunities to improve things through a better understanding of the customer. You will use your analytical mindset and knowledge of the customer to improve the speed and quality of decision making.
We have a number of roles available facing into two different business areas: Waitrose.com and JL.com
You have a choice of location for this role and you can work from either our London Victoria office or our Bracknell office.
What will you be doing?
You will be working with teams from across the business, including product, trading and marketing to help understand what their business challenges are. With this knowledge you will come up with actionable customer-focussed insights to help them address these challenges, presenting these findings to the teams to help them formulate successful solutions. You will work with a variety of tools, such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics, Google BigQuery, Sheets, Excel, Google Data Studio, Snowflake, Tableau and more. Existing knowledge of these will be helpful in the role.

What you'll have:
• Relevant qualification and/or extensive analytically-based experience using customer and transactional databases
• Experience of synthesising complex and ambiguous information in order to drive actionable insight brought to life through communication and visualisation
• Experience of coding in SQL. Also experience of SAS, R, Python, Big Query or other programming or statistical languages
• Google Analytics (GA) or Adobe Analytics, and an understanding of digital analytics techniques and methodologies, including A/B or multivariate testing
What else you could bring:
• Commercial acumen e.g. online or shop trading, business consulting
• An innate curiosity about how customers engage with, and shop, retail
• Technical skill, knowledge and experience in the use of Big Data, data visualisation, data manipulation and enterprise reporting techniques and tools
