What you will be doing:

• Establishing a thorough understanding of the relevant business area, its strategic goals, opportunities and challenges, and using this, plus any people insight data, to identify, develop, agree and deliver a People Plan that is strategically aligned to the Group’s aims and overarching People Plan.
• Demonstrating a commercial approach with a high-level of financial acumen to identify any key financial challenges that can be resolved via People interventions and propose and deliver solutions to the business.
• Leading and managing an HR team providing support, direction and development as required and determining the resourcing needs of the team to deliver appropriate day to day support and successful projects.
• Working in collaboration with the Performance & Development, Reward, Resourcing and HR systems and process functions to implement any divisional or group wide projects, initiatives and frameworks.
• Acting as HR lead on key projects including Transformation, Trade Union relationships and negotiations and any divisional sales, acquisition, activity
• Acting as escalation for complex or senior-level employee relations cases, including management of Employment Tribunals, representing on behalf of the Company as appropriate
• Act as an Ambassador for Capita’s purpose, values and behaviours

What we’re looking for:

• As a Senior HR Business Partner you will need to be a true HR generalist, preferably within a commercial, fast paced multi-site environment, with a track record of strong delivery across the people agenda, CIPD qualified or equivalent
• You should have experience of working in a matrix organisation in conjunction with central functions & delivery partners
• You should be able to demonstrate the ability to develop strong and trusted relationships with key senior stakeholders to support and enable strategic business goals.
• You will have experience in developing & implementing a strategic people agenda which is aligned to business objectives and performance.
• You should have line management experience or be able to demonstrate appropriate transferable skills in the area of line management
• You should be a good influencer and have proven ability to provide pragmatic and commercial solutions to business problems.
• You must be able to work flexibly over a wide geographical area and have experience of working in a multi-site/mobile capacity (note: the specific requirements in this respect will vary according to the business areas supported).
