The Role

We are excited to invite applications for the position of Sr Front End Developer within our B2B eCommerce applications team. We have a number of exciting projects in the works and are now looking for an outstanding Senior Frontend Developer with experience in building client-side web applications to join our development team and play a major role in the design and implementation of our future products.

This role will involve planning, design, development, and maintenance of front-end web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated and can work well both independently and within a team. They are a self-starter - eager to learn new technologies and consider security, performance and user interface implications in their designs. Strong use of HTML, CSS and JavaScript skills, is proficient in AngularJS, and has a passion for user experience, code and technology.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and modify user friendly features for web and mobile applications that customers love

  • Be a champion for developing and adhering to engineering standards within your team

  • Support ongoing development for existing projects/applications

  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use

  • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability

  • Improve test coverage of existing code bases

  • Collaborate with project partners to translate business requirements into digital solutions

  • Work closely with UX and design resources to ensure the technical feasibility of designs while maintaining user-centric focus

  • Work within a product team to prioritize and implement new application features, while simultaneously maintaining the quality of existing features and functionality

  • Assist the product manager in managing the product backlog, assigning points to backlog items to correctly establish velocity, and establishing sprint goals

  • Ensure highest standards of code quality and security are met

  • Work with design teams and product managers to ensure user experience meets accessibility standards

 

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's or higher degree 

  • 5+ years experience developing and deploying end to end applications

  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3

  • Good understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks

  • Solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them

  • Solid understanding of GIT source code control and branching methodologies, debugging, performance monitoring, benchmarking, logging, and testing tools

  • Proven experience with test-driven development methodologies

 

Preferred Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or similar field.

  • Experience in hybris Commerce development working in storefront and add-on developing applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Experience using one or more advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as AngularJS, React, Vue or Angular

  • Shopify theme development / liquid experience

  • Experience working on Agile development teams

  • Experience with digital tagging and analytics measurement (Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager)

  • Experience with AB testing

  • Knowledge of page load optimization

  • Leading Agile/SCRUM development teams

  • Using User Centric Design and applying User Experience concepts

  • Familiarity with data privacy concepts (GDPR, CCPA, PCI, HIPAA)

  • Knowledge of accessibility standards
