Job Description
As a key member of the Label & Graphic Materials - North America (LGM-NA) Operations Finance Team, the Senior Financial Analyst, Operations provides key analytical and financial analysis, planning and reporting services and support to the LGM-NA Operations and Supply Chain Organization. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day activities in regard to the reporting, planning and analysis activities for LGM-NA Total Manufacturing Expense. This includes preparing financial and business-related analyses, forecasts and research, and ensure accurate and timely reporting and analysis of financial data. Work closely with key Operations and Supply Chain Stakeholders to help establish site and divisional performance targets, be an active and engaged participant in the Weekly R&O Process, identify productivity projects and other continuous improvement opportunities and eliminate inefficiencies in financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Partnership:
Provide Finance, Operations & Supply Chain Management with interpretive and predictive financial information, related primarily to Total Manufacturing Expense
Provide general support and assistance to Operations Finance Director and other members of LGM-NA Operations & Supply Chain and Procurement Leadership Team on a variety of topics/duties/tasks.
Proficient in financial modeling for consolidations, streamlining AOP process and providing key analysis to assist Stakeholders in running the business.
Planning/Reporting/Analysis:
Lead the preparation of the Divisional Consolidated AOP, Quarterly Forecast & Weekly R&O Process for TME and complete the required schedules/templates
Evaluate key drivers and root cause(s) and provide meaningful analysis to explain Divisional TME performance and variances to target/commitments
Fulfill various ad-hoc reporting and analysis requirements, including developing, analyzing and presenting
Administer Quarterly AIP Payout Process within LGM-NA Operations by validating financial performance measures and serving as a consolidation point for the exception request process and to obtain management signoff on calculated/determined payouts (quarterly and annual)
Lead the coordination & planning of key recurring financial events (ie., AOP, Weekly R&O, Quarterly Forecast) within LGM-NA Operations Finance for Operations & Supply Chain
Prepare and/or handle the preparation of the business case(s) and associated financial justification(s) for certain capital expenditure requests that involve multiple manufacturing locations and/or divisional-based, larger capital projects
Support various finance and operations stakeholders in the development and use of Oracle BI tools.
Controllership/Compliance:
Coordinate follow-up actions identified during month-end LGM-NA Finance Close Meeting with LGM Locations and ensure these are completed timely
Perform and/or review and approve journal entries and/or standard reserves/accruals/allocations
Support internal & external audits & perform required SOX audit activities to ensure compliance certification for the division/site.
Qualifications
Educational/Work Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
6+ years of financial and/or accounting experience with experience in a manufacturing environment
Mainstream (common) ERP and/or financial system(s) experience preferred
Skills/Competencies:
Ability to work with and synthesize large & complex datasets to prepare comprehensive analyses/reports in a clear and succinct manner
Strong mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills
Build strong & successful relationships with site management and site finance, HQ operations and supply chain personnel and LGM-NA Finance Team Members
Proficient in budgeting/forecasting, financial analysis and cost-control principles
Effective Project Management skills to ensure projects are effectively implemented, sourced and validated from an Operations Finance perspective.
Exercise insightful discernment and drive action and execution which lead to results
Excellent interpersonal skills, including verbal & written communication
Promote collaboration, desire to learn continuously and takes initiative to act on data and intuition
Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite, Google Sheets and other related software
Confirmed working knowledge of ERP & financial & accounting reporting systems
Ability to juggle multiple tasks at a time and prioritize/re-prioritize workload of self to meet deadlines, due to fluid business conditions
Adept at effectively communicating ideas and making presentations
