The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for being a subject matter expert in the department’s financial planning, analysis, and operations. They will manage the details of ongoing activities and projects while working effectively within a team structure, collaborating across multiple partners/stakeholders, and presenting analyses and insights to leadership that addresses needs and drives business outcomes
This role will be responsible for supporting individual business areas and consolidation of activity for the External Relations department, which is made up of Corporate Communications, International External Relations, Global Public Policy, and Corporate Philanthropy. Additional Responsibilities will extent into Transportation Management, which manages the BLP corporate aircraft fleet.
Your Impact:
Financial and Operational Performance, Metrics & Analysis
Preparing financial and operational dashboards and management reporting packages for Executive Management including business performance / results and variance analysis for revenue and other FP&A responsibilities in a timely and consistent manner
Overseeing and managing monthly close and Budget/Outlook processes and streamlining workflows to create efficiencies and enhancing financial reporting and analysis
Ownership and delivery of relevant management reporting and analysis, including External Relations and Transportation Management operations' business performance, financial results and analysis in a timely, accurate and consistent manner
Reviewing and analyzing financial projections in-line with business objectives
Providing visibility and timely reporting of financials and key performance metrics
Financial oversight and reporting into BLP’s charitable giving and Corporate Philanthropy’s support and partnerships with non-profits, cultural institutions, and other non-governmental organizations across the globe
Database management and analysis on executive utilization of corporate aircraft fleet and cost analysis of the vehicles
Identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets
Understanding operational levers that impact the financial well-being of the business
Developing bespoke ad hoc analysis and management reports
Proactively work to identify gaps and inefficiencies, automate processes, and mature existing automation methods
Developing creative analyses to support strategic objectives of departments and process improvements that support efficient operations and strategic objectives of departments within the External Relations and Transportation Management organizations.
Assuming responsibility and delivering on projects that align objectives of Management Committee with External Relations and Transportation Management requirements across multiple partners/stakeholders within the business units and across departments, including CFOs
Relationship Management:
Establishing and developing business relationships with business partners, CFOs and senior management and partnering with them to improve operations and further business goals by providing insightful reporting/analysis and thoughtful observations
Collaborating with other teams including FP&A, Accounting, and Operations
Liaising with Controllers and other parties to ensure accurate and timely production and distribution of financial reports
What you’ll offer:
A Bachelor’s or higher in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field of study
7+ years of experience in a Finance role with a proven track record of success
Critical thinker with business intuition, intellectual curiosity and ability to execute
Strong data and analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy (numbers oriented with ability to write about it)
Experience partnering with business staff with ability to work independently and as part of a team
Demonstrated ability to develop and manage budgets, projects or process change
Proven track record of being a subject matter expert, preparation and delivery of accurate and insightful work, managing projects, and achieving results
Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Self-motivated approach to identifying and solving business challenges
A desire to operate and develop in a challenging, fast paced environment
Team player with ability to deal with changing priorities
