The Tactical Opportunities Team at Disney+ (within Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution) is a small, newly formed team responsible for driving strategic initiatives to support Disney+ subscriber growth, from ideation through recommendation. This team operates as a “special situations†function directly reporting to the SVP of Direct-to-Consumer Finance and has an extremely high degree of executive visibility across the business. We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst that will meaningfully support analyses, frameworks, and processes to optimize Disney+’s next wave of growth.
The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting analytical analyses in financial and subscription growth modelling realms, in addition to distilling those analyses for presentations in varying forums. Illustrative examples include assessing pricing strategy, evaluating acquisition seasonality, and optimizing subscriber retention. Given the dynamic scope and type of work within Tactical Opportunities, projects will oftentimes be complex, ambiguous, fluid, and involve multiple stakeholders. As such, success in this highly impactful role requires robust analytical and presentation creation skills with a penchant for leveraging data to solve problems. The Senior Financial Analyst will be expected to drive projects with minimal oversight, and adeptly manage multiple projects at the same time. This role also affords exposure to cross-functional partners across Subscriber Planning, Data & Analytics, Marketing, Business Operations, and Content Planning & Analysis, and broadly defined, will help shape Disney+ growth strategy.
2+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, management consulting, direct-to-consumer strategy, or similar fields
Impeccable excel skills with experience navigating large data sets, building subscription models, and tackling broader analytical analyses
Excellent PowerPoint and accompanying communication skills, with an ability to distill complex ideas into structured outputs and present to all levels of management
Thrive in ambiguity with a deliverable-focused attitude, strong work ethic, ability to prioritize, and resolve an array of issues simultaneously
Knowledge and understanding of subscription / DTC KPIs are a must, and media & entertainment industry experience is a plus
