  • Responsible for accurate and timely monthly cost reporting, forecasting and planning across the corporate cost areas: HR, Finance, Corp Comms, Corp Gov, Strategy & Plan A, including opex, working capital and cash positions
  • Presenting at quarterly review meetings with the CEO, CFO, and business partner, outlining the key risks and opportunities in the cost areas and progress on the transformation programmes

Leading the post implementation review process to update the business on how the cases are tracking against targets
  • Business partner with the Exec Reward team to model scenarios for the annual bonus scheme
  • Tracking and reporting support office staffing, engaging with the finance teams and HR to accurately report and comment on the movements and risks or opportunities
  • Bring a commercial mentality to identify areas of potential cost saving initiatives and more efficient processes that could be adopted
  • Coaching and supporting of two ‘dotted line’ reports in the Business Service Center

Key skills:

  • Qualified accountant with experience in a commercial environment
  • Commercial awareness and able to challenge and add insight
  • Excellent communication skills to enable business partnering of senior non-financial colleagues
  • Advanced excel capabilities and good PowerPoint skills
  • Proactive self-starter with a collaborative approach and can build a strong network with colleagues
  • A drive for continuous improvement: implementing or coordinating changes to processes which improve efficiency and outputs
  • A great team member, but also happy to work independently on own initiative

What you’ll get from the role:

  • Frequent exposure to finance and corporate leadership
  • Oversight of the overall corporate strategy and insight into transformation programmes happening across the support office
  • Development of a broad network across finance and the wider business – with lots of opportunity for cross-functional working

Key Benefits:

  • 20% discount on M&S products
  • A range of wellbeing support (including free counselling and a virtual GP for you and immediate family)
  • 25% off gym memberships, access to online fitness classes and discounts for complementary health services, such as nutrition and lifestyle coaching
