Senior Finance Analyst – Customer Journey Lifecycle, Financial Accounting
(12 Month Fixed Term Contract)
Responsible for financial accounting and controls within the Customer Journey area. Within this role you will be responsible for all cash payment postings and reconciliations working closely with our Accounts Payable, Tax, Trading/Ops Finance and Treasury teams. As part of this role you will also lead the accounts receivable process ensuring our 3rd party revenue is accounted for correctly, this includes liaising with our Retail teams to raise invoices and manage the AR ledger/cash collections. This role also works on key projects impacting Customer Journey working closely with stakeholders across ASOS from design through to implementation ensuring appropriate accounting and controls are in place.
What you'll be doing:
Work with the business to ensure correct and accurate end to end accounting, including cost controls, accruals required, accurate balance sheet reconciliations and ensure data integrity of information
Acting as a finance business partner, supporting the business to deliver profit targets
Work with the business to understand any business initiatives and associated change impacts from requirements through to successful implementation
Understand the business processes, including related risks and controls
Ensure correct accounting treatment in accordance with IFRS, being pro-active to review and challenge
Responsible for the preparation, review, challenge and continuous improvement of robust and accurate balance sheet reconciliations
Forecasting on monthly/weekly basis, with continual focus on improving forecasting accuracy and efficiency
Analysing movements between forecast and actuals/last year
Produce timely, accurate and insightful reporting and analysis
Ad hoc analysis and scenario modelling to inform business decision making
Ensure appropriate and robust financial control environment, spanning from the posting of journals to assisting with supporting documentation for the external audit

An accounting qualification (preferably CIMA, ACCA or ACA).
Business partnering experience.
A proven ability to plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines.
A strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
Advanced skills in Excel.
A high standard of accuracy with financial and statistical data.
An ability to determine insightful observations from detail for management attention.
Commercial awareness.
Good communication/ interpersonal and influencing skills.
The ability to be proactive within a fast-paced, dynamic environment susceptible to change
