Job Description
As a senior field adjuster - large loss contents on our Home & Property team, you’ll manage first party, personal property claims of high severity and complexity. Handling coverage and damage analysis of claims that include field inspections, you’ll support customer needs while ensuring swift resolution. In this role, you’ll negotiate and complete settlements equitably with all parties. This position requires national travel on a weekly basis, you will not be required to report into an office and can work from home when not traveling.
Duties & responsibilities
- Inspect, photograph and estimate damages to personal property involved in various types of losses
- Assess and determine ownership, age, quality, size and specifications of damaged personal property
- Determine extent of personal property loss estimating cost of repair, replace, or compensation
- Use varying methods of investigation including taking recorded statements, consulting with police and fire departments, inspecting property damage and reviewing documents
- Approve and adjust estimates of damage and loss amounts
Must-have qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher and at least three years of experience in personal property claims handling
- Instead of the above, associate degree or higher and a minimum of four years related work experience, at least three years of which must be in personal property claims handling
- Instead of a degree, a minimum of six years related work experience which must include a total of four years of property claims handling
- Adjuster 620 License within 30 days of being hired
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and compliance with Progressive’s driving standards and/or policies
Compensation
- $65,000 - $75,000/year
- Gainshare bonus up to 24% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
