The Compliance function is a Second line of defence (LOD) function, responsible for reviewing and challenging the activities of the Group’s businesses (also referred to as “the First LODâ€) to ensure that they effectively manage, as “Risk Ownersâ€, the Regulatory and Financial Crime Compliance risks inherent in or arising from the conduct of their activities and for which they are responsible. The Second LOD consists of 'Risk Stewards' who are independent of the commercial risk-taking activities undertaken by the First LOD. The Compliance function is a Risk Steward for a number of non-financial risks in accordance with HSBC Group’s risk framework.
We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our team as a Senior Financial Crime (FC) Strategy & Framework Manager, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.
Role Purpose
The Compliance function at HSBC includes Chief Compliance Officers (CCOs) that have responsibility and accountability for the Compliance function in their region and/or global business. In addition to four Group Capability teams of Financial Crime, Regulatory Conduct, a Chief Operating Office and Assurance, which are responsible for ensuring consistent global delivery, policy, frameworks and standards-setting.
