Job Description

Summary

***INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY PLEASE***

Our colleagues work for the National Trust in many locations and sometimes don't have easy access to internal vacancy listings. Using the internet ensures we can reach as many of our colleagues as possible. We appreciate that this can be frustrating for external talent. Do note that some roles are released externally after an initial period of time.

As Senior Facilities Co-ordinator you'll be responsible for providing an efficient, effective and flexible facilities management service across your site, ensuring the highest standards are delivered and maintained. You will also lead and manage the Business Services team to provide efficient business support across the Ightham Mote & North Kent Portfolio.

This is a fixed term contract due to end when the previous employee returns from maternity leave.  At this point we cannot confirm exactly how long this contract will last, but it is unlikely to be more than 12 months.

What it's like to work here

You will be a key player within a close hard-working team, which delivers at pace and has high ambitions and vision. Ightham Mote & North Kent portfolio includes Ightham Mote as our flagship and in addition several hidden gems of Kentish history, such as Cobham, Hawkwood & Petts Wood, Oldbury and Old Soar Manor. Covering some 2,500 acres of Kent Countryside, there are 33 staff and 500 volunteers, actively involved across all sites and covering all disciplines.

The package

The National Trust has the motto ‘For everyone, for ever’ at its heart. We’re working hard to create an inclusive culture, where everyone feels they belong. It’s important that our people reflect and represent the diversity of the communities and audiences we serve. We welcome and value difference, so when we say we’re for everyone, we want everyone to be welcome in our teams too.

Wherever you’re from, and whatever your background, we want to hear from you – and it doesn’t matter if you’re jam first, cream first, or even if you don’t like scones at all. Everyone is welcome.
