Responsibilities

As an Engineering Manager in our team, you will lead, mentor and grow a team of talented, diverse engineers and architects who are versed in delivering exceptional end user experiences, and world class services to our end users. You will work across organizations, collaborating with partner teams to create innovative solutions in mobile threat defense area. You will be required to provide strong leadership, raise the technical bar, maintain a data and results driven culture, nurture a team culture of high collaboration and trust, and drive Microsoft 365 Security products adoption. You should be comfortable working in a start-up like / v1 effort, enjoy incrementally marching to towards a well-defined long-term architecture, and are motivated by solving hard security related problems. 

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience as a software engineer working on industrial strength software and a proven track record of having shipped commercially successful software products & services. 
• 7+ years of leadership experience managing a team. 

• Ability to nurture and grow talent. 
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Software Engineers, Program Managers, Security researchers, and Data Scientists. 
• 4+ years of experience in development principles and patterns 
• Strong background in Android, iOS, macOS or Microsoft Windows programming. 
• Familiar with different micro-service architecture. 

• Strong network programming fundamentals, well versed with TCP/IP, VPN, HTTPS etc. 
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills 
• Familiar with secure software development life cycle 
• Experience with software development tools such as source control systems (GIT), automated build systems, compilers, software validation systems, project tracking, and lifecycle management systems 
• Work independently, drive and manage technical and architectural dependencies. 

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science
