Senior Technical Support Engineer

Dell Networking is seeking highly technical, qualified candidates for our backline networking escalation team. In this role you will support our frontline call agents, onsite deployment engineers, and other escalation resources from our software, storage and server groups. This role utilizes skills in troubleshooting, design, and project management on a daily basis. Candidates must be willing to learn emerging technologies such as SDN, as we strive to be on the cutting edge of the datacenter.

What you’ll achieve
As a Senior Technical Support Engineer, you will resolve complex technical issues in a fast-paced, customer critical environment, working on improving processes, standards and strategies to perfect our Support Services.
You will:
Design, configure, implement, and resolve complex multivendor (Dell, Cisco, Aruba, Extreme, Arista, Huawei, HP, Brocade, and/or Juniper) network solutions for specialized infrastructure systems including Core, Distribution, and Edge Components with consideration for performance, availability, maintenance, and growth
Coach, mentor and provide guidance to frontline Engineers to help them improve their technical skills
Provide technical assistance to help resolve issues relating to a variety of enterprise technologies including Virtualization, Converged Storage Solutions, Converged Server Solutions, and Database Solutions.
Research and reproduce technical issues using enterprise data center lab resources
Maintain and acquire advanced networking and enterprise technology certifications

Essential Requirements
2-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience (Undergraduate degree or 2-4 years relevant experience)
2 years’ experience integrating and troubleshooting a broad range of technologies including Servers, Storage and Networking in a datacenter environment
Proven Mastery installing, configuring and troubleshooting Enterprise Class Networking hardware and protocols; Enterprise Wireless Networking: Packet capture analysis, Dell PCOS, FTOS, DNOS; Aruba OS; JUNOS; Cisco IOS/NXOS; Network Technology - IPv6, OSPF, BGP, IGMP, PIM & RSTP/MSTP, MPLS, MPBGP, MPLS, VPLS, BGP/MPLS IPVPN, LACP. QOS, SNMP, RADIUS Config, HSRP/VRRP, IPSEC, iSCSI, VOIP, POE, Multicast/Unicast, etc.
Desirable Requirements
Supporting Expert Knowledge in at least two areas: VMWare, Linux OS; SAN Hardware and Software
Network Attached Storage Software
One or more professional level certifications
Two or more associatelevel certifications
