You’ll be expected to mentor junior staff members and to provide authoritative technical advice to a wide range of customers and stakeholders, including members of our change management team. It is therefore essential that you combine excellent communication skills with a solid understanding of how systems work. Specific areas of knowledge we’re looking for include:
• Linux based technologies – RHEL, Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS
• SAN/Backup storage knowledge,
• Apache/NGINX Server installation
• Shell Scripting
• TCP/IP Network Knowledge
• Hardware Set Up and Troubleshooting
• Incident and Problem Management

Due to the nature of some of the work you’ll be involved with, there will be times when you’re required to work on-site at Hanslope park, but where possible, we will look to accommodate working from home. This role is part of an on-call rota.
Hanslope Park based posts attract a Location Allowance of £1,750 per annum.

• Substantial experience in relevant roles, including technologies in an enterprise environment, and of working within a secure environment, e.g. MOD;
• Experience in a high-pressured, fast-paced team
