Job Description
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Developing 1-D physics-based and/or empirical models for battery systems, components, or processes and running performance simulations
- Experience with Comsol, GTLion 1D/3D, Amesim Battery modelling
- Development of battery degradation models and running life performance simulation
- Create test procedures for battery cell testing and develop automation scripts using Python and other tools
- Analysis of Battery test data and implementation of test data in model development.
- Perform battery data analysis of performance characterization and life-ageing tests, which includes understanding of factors that affect battery performance, such as C-Rates, Temperature, etc.
- Perform complex analysis, identify, and solve challenging problems in battery modelling and performance data
Basic Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Mechanical/Chemical/ Electrical Engineering
- 6 to 10 years’ experience with Battery modelling, simulation, and test validation
- Experience with graphical and computational modelling tools like MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape.
- Understanding of various battery chemistries and experience working
- Understanding Battery cycler data analysis will be an advantage
- Experience and Knowledge of battery performance metrics, such as SoC, SoH, etc. and factors that affect battery performance.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- Self-starter with strong technical leadership skills
- Enjoys working in a fast paced, technically challenging environment
- Enjoys acquiring new technical skills
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
- Experience and knowledge with Battery Management control system
- Experience and Knowledge of Battery Thermal simulation
- Ph.D. in an accredited Indian or Global Engineering schools
- Experience with MATLAB coding is preferred
- Good knowledge on scripting tools like Python, etc
- Manages global customer interaction effectively
- Enjoys project Ownership
