Job Description
What you’ll be doing:
- Creating and delivering high impact, pan-Capita employee communication and engagement - with a particular focus on transformation and leadership
- Building strong rapport with key stakeholders in the wider business, including Chief Transformation Officer and Chief People Officer, allowing strong cross-functional partnering on key projects
- Ensuring robust processes and suite of support tools are in place in order to help leaders through a time of heightened change and transformation, in particular ensuring they have access to a consistent change narrative
- Leading Capita’s leadership listening initiative ‘Spark the Conversation’
- In partnership with Director of Employee Communications & Engagement, deliver leadership engagement activities such as leadership calls, briefings and conferences
- Leading CEO engagement calendar and activities to ensure high levels of visibility – pan-Capita
- Working closely with colleagues in Brand and Social Media to ensure that we maximise opportunities for campaigns that span across internal and external social channels
- Building strong rapport with Corporate Affairs colleagues in our divisions to ensure we drive outstanding employee communications that truly meet the needs of our diverse audience groups
- Ensuring that, across the Employee Communications and Engagement team, we have robust processes in place to measure, evaluate and report on the impact on our engagement activities in order to drive improvements
- Managing third parties, like design agencies and production companies, to ensure that they are delivering high impact, cost effective outputs on our behalf
What we’re looking for:
- Experience of leading employee communications and engagement initiatives in a large corporate environment
- Strong understanding of change management and employee engagement theory and implementation
- Ability to create, creative and high impact communications and engagement materials
- Experience managing third parties
- Confident in influencing and managing senior stakeholders in a complex matrix environment
- Ability to constructively challenge and balance input from multiple stakeholders
- Excellent strategy skills with the ability to see the ‘big picture’ and really understand Capita’s commercial environment, as well as the needs of our diverse audiences
- Excellent project management skills
- Strong collaborator and team player
- Able to deal with ambiguity and remain calm under pressure
- Experience in working directly to senior leaders
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Collaborative and keen to play a contributing role in creative discussions and processes
- Strong judgment and ability to consistently act in line with Capita’s values and behaviours, especially while under pressure
